Warriors: A Brand New Start

     Leafstar's head was pounding with thoughts. She lazily padded into her den and sat on the moss. "Leafstar?" Lionclaw meowed peering his head around the corner of the den. "Come in Lionclaw." Leafstar ordered staring around her giant den. "I think... that while Icepaw and his litter-mates are doing thier vigil, we could  tell them about their mother." Lionclaw suggested looking at his paws.

"Perhaps, it will give them something to think about." Leafstar muttered. Lionclaw dipped his head and dashed out the den entrance. I think we should have the ceremony now. Leafstar shook the tiny pieces of moss off her fur, and padded out the den entrance to the high rock.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the high rock for a clan meeting." Leafstar yowled. The apprentices already knew about their ceremonies. "Tonight, we will celebrate the Warrior Ceremony of Icepaw, Dapplepaw, and Raggedpaw." Leafstar said with a shaky breath.

"I, Leafstar, leader of Ash Clan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to under stand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him/her to you as a warrior in his/her turn. Dapplepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

" I do." Dapplepaw said, her eyes gleaming with pride."Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name: Dapplepaw, from this moment on you will be known as Dappletail. StarClan honors your bravery and your courage and we welcome you as a full warrior of Ash Clan." Leafstar said proudly as she rested her head on Dappletail. Dappletail licked her shoulder and stood next to her old mentor, Raventail.

"I, Leafstar, leader of Ash Clan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He has trained hard to under stand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Raggedpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." Raggedpaw said shakily. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name: Raggedpaw from the moment on you will be known as Raggedfur. Starclan honors your strength and your faith and we welcome you as a full warrior of Ash Clan." Leafstar said and took in a heavy breath as Raggedfur padded over to her. He licked her shoulder and Leafstar rested her head gently on him. He licked her shoulder and went next to Raventail, Dappletail, and his mentor Gorsefur.

"Now time for the medicine cat apprentice to get his name." Leafstar muttered.  "Darkheart please come up here." Leafstar ordered and she padded up shaking a little bit.

"I, Leafstar, leader of Ash Clan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He has trained hard to under stand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Icepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Leafstar said.

"Then by the powers of Starclan , I give you yours warrior name : Icepaw, from moment on you will be known as Iceheart. StarClan honors your faith and determenation and we welcome you as a medicine cat  of Ash Clan." Leafstar finished while Iceheart gleamed and padded up happily.

"Iceheart, Dappletail,  Raggedfur!" The clan chanted. After everyone was settled Leafstar returned to the middle of camp to get a piece of fresh-kill.  Leafstar picked a nice  plump rabbit. Iceheart and Darkheart padded toward Leafstar and stopped waiting for her to finish her piece. "It's fine, you can talk to me." Leafstar nodded. "Iceheart and I are going to the moonstone." Darkheart stated. I nodded and they headed toward the tunnel.
