As soon as we left the room I saw J.

"Josiah," I started causing everyone in earshot to look up and him to glare at me. He hated people calling him by his government. "Come hea'" I said before walking to the front of the house.

I waited for him to close the door.

"Ay T, watch ya mouth fa me, ight?"

"Nigga, please shut the fuck up," I scoffed putting my hand up to his face and making a pinching gesture.

"Now, ion like talkin to yall rough cause I love y'all and blasé blasé. But you're not gonna say shit like what you said to me. Okay?"

"Tiana, I ain't even mean it in a bad way. Mane, ian even mean to say it for real." He whined. "You know I be voicing my thoughts aloud sometimes n shii."

I accidentally let out a chuckle. "Boy shut up."

"For real, ma. I'm sorry." He said sincerely. That "ma" shit didn't sit with me tho.

"Um, don't call me "ma", but you good. Don't do that shit again." I said walking inside, not really paying much attention to him.

The gathering was going well. The event was winding down so I decided it was time.

I went up to the DJ booth and took the mic.

"Goodnight family!" I beamed. They greeted me back. "Aight, y'all know I ain't the speech type, or the type to get all mushy or whateva... But I really wanna thank everybody for coming out tonight. I appreciate every one of you." Kia caught my eye. She looked so excited & ready to jump out of her skin. I chuckled.

"I know how devastating it was to lose Ken..." I paused feeling the back of my eyes burn. "Oh lawd," I said fanning my face. Kiana and Leron came up to the booth and comforted me.

"Shit, if y'all never seen a thug get emotional today is ya lucky day." I joked making the crowd laugh.

"Okay. We lost someone special, but he left something with us." I spoke then let out a sigh. Ki passed me the poster that was behind the booth.

"Family, say hello to lil Ken." I said admiring the poster that featured a collage of my ultrasound photos.

Everyone was ecstatic, maybe even shocked. I heard a couple screams and saw some tears from the girls.

Shortly after we said our goodbyes and we're on our way home.

We got home and everyone settled down for the night. Mommy was knocked out in her room, Kia and Tommy were in the living room cuddled up watching a movie, and I was in my room watching YouTube.

I got up in the middle of the night to make a little snack.

"You gon make me fat...ter." I spoke to my baby.

I was looking through the fridge when Tommy came up to me and said something to me.

"Shit!" I yelled and I flinched. "Oh my bad, you scared me."

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to." He started.

He looked a little uneasy. I brushed it off because we'd never really had a conversation before. He might have just been shy.

"You good?" I asked a little concerned after he was just staring at the floor for a little too long.

"Uhh, can I talk to you about something?"
