"Girl wake yo sleepy ass up." A familiar voice chuckled to me.

"Five more minutes." I mumbled.

"Bae, stop playin." The voice spoke back.

"Bae?" I asked confused. Then I finally opened my eyes.

"Kendrick?"

"Nah, J. Cole." He joked. "Cmon we gotta go."

"Ken..." I spoke still confused.

"Shhhhh, no questions baby." He held my hand and lead me to his car.

Everything felt so real and his touch was amazing.

Once we were in the car he turned my head to him for a long, passionate kiss. I let out a little moan.

"I missed you so fuckin much." He whispered. Looking right into my eyes.

"Am I dead?" I asked holding back tears.

"Nah, you asleep," he said rubbing my cheek. "I got something for you." He said driving to a location that was unknown to me.

I stared at him the whole drive just admiring him. It felt like he was right with me. We finally got to the place. It was his house. We went inside and up to his bedroom.

"Who..." I started, which prompted him to stare at me. "I know someone set you up Kendrick. I can just feel it. Who did this to you Kenny?" I asked tearing up.

"Baby love, don't cry." He cooed, embracing me tightly. I melted into his arms still crying. "I- I can't tell you."

"Please tell me. I need to know who would take me from you. I feel- I'm broken without you baby, and I need some type of closure. Something to keep me sane."

"I know how you feel baby, I promise I do. But I can't tell you, for your own safety." He said. "I've seen how things play out if I tell you and I can't let that happen to you."

"I miss you." I said trying to calm down. "I love you. I love you so much. I don't think I can love someone the way I loved you again."

"I know Tiana." He said rubbing my back. "Neither can I. Even if I was on earth with you. I feel so guilty for leaving y'all, but I swear I'm protecting y'all from up here." He kissed my forehead then my lips. I didn't say much after that. I just sat in his arms, savoring this moment.

"Now, lemme show you my surprise."

He lead me to his bathroom. There was a fish on his counter.

"Surprise shawtayy!" He said gesturing to it.

"Kenny they got drugs in heaven too?" I asked scrunching up my eyebrows.

"Lil girl.... nah since you wanna play me I'm not tellin you what it means."
He said folding his arms.

"Li' boy tell me!" I laughed.

"Nah." He rolled his eyes. "Let's eat."

"Kendrick don't get popped."

"You gonna pop ya guardian angel?" He asked acting shocked.

"Yes I will, stop playin!" I answered laughing.

"Come I promise it's gon taste good." He said. "Close your eyes and open your mouth." I did as he said.

"Mhmmmm I missed that shit." He moaned.

"Ken!" I whined.

"Alright, alright for real."

He put a piece of the fish in my mouth and it tasted incredible. The best I ever had in my life actually.

"Mhmmm what I tell you?" He said proudly.

"Yeah whatever. Let's go to bed I'm tired." I said yawning.

He drove me back to Leron's house and we went inside. We laid in Ron's bed and cuddled up with each other.

I looked up from his chest into his eyes. "So I guess you're bouta leave huh?" I asked sadly.

"Not for long." He said kissing my forehead. "Imma visit y'all as often as I can."

"You promise?" I asked.

"Mhm. I put that on my dead homie, Blacks." He said proudly.

I hit his chest, "Boy you play too much." I cuckled.

We stared at each other with love in our eyes for a solid minute.

"I love you." He whispered.

"I love you too." I said back before burying my face in his chest.

"Oh, baby girl?" He asked.

"Yeah bae?" I replied still in his chest.

"Sorry but, um you bouta throw up." He said making my head shoot up at him.

"Oopsie," he said puckering his lips.

I woke up with the sun in my eyes and rushed to the bathroom. He was right. Not much came up, but it wasn't a fun experience.

I went to my momma up and told her what had happened. She just made me some more tea.

"So pumpkin... I heard you didn't want no Chinese food last night."

I gagged at the mention of the food, "Yeah I just wasn't feeling it." I said sipping some more tea.

"And how you feel about some wings and ranch?"

I turned up my nose, "Nah." I said plainly.

She laughed, "One more question, baby. What you been dreaming about lately? Anything weird?"

Before I could start Leron pitched up, "Auntie lemme tell you! I had a dream that I came home and a fuckin fish was just on my couch. Like what typa shit is that? Them hoes can't breathe air!" He spoke excitedly.

"I had a dream that Ken got me a fish and it was on his bathroom counter."

My mother grinned from ear to ear, "Baby, you pregnant!" She sang.

"Ahhhhhhh, I'm gonna be an uncle!" Ron beamed doing a lame lil dance.

My face went blank. It all made sense. The nausea, constant need to pee, I'd also had some weird cravings. I was overwhelmed with joy because I had a piece of Ken with me, but also scared to be a single mother. I knew I would never have to raise him alone because of my and Ken's family but I knew it would still be tough.

Um it's been a minute 🙂 I didn't realize how long it had been since I updated this story. Anyway I graduated and finished all my exams so I should have plenty of time to write for now.

I wanna get my engagement up because them comments I be seeing in other stories have me ctfu and I'm tryna see dat here.
