Chapter four

"Good morning everyone! It is now 7 a.m. and nighttime I'd officially over! Time to rise and shine!"

You poked half of your head above the sheets. Your insomnia kicked in last night and it was around six that you fell asleep. So you were bout ready to cuss out the tv announcer thing. You got up and got dressed. You were not looking forward to today. You opened your door to be greeted with Taka.

"Good morning Y/n!" He said full of energy. "Oh god hello, good morning." You said. "Yes, morning greetings are quite a delight! Such an energizing way to start the day! Now then let's make sure to do our best throughout the day!" He had to much energy. "Yeah..." He then walked off to wake up the others.

You decided to go to the dinning hall. Maybe somebody else will be there. Nobody was there so you just got something to eat and went back to your room. You got bored and wanted to talk to someone. Makoto and Sayaka were off doing something together. You walked over to Toko's room. Your heart was pounding. You didn't know why but you were very nervous. Of what? Who knows. You rang on her doorbell.

She opened the door. "Yes? What do you w-want?" While those words might have come off as rude her tone wasn't that. "Um I uh was wondering if you want to do something together. I'm pretty bored and nothing is going on." She looked shocked. "You want to s-spend time with me...? I don't know what your p-planning but..." You braced yourself for a no. Can't say you were surprised. She isn't really a people person. "...do whatever y-you want."

You both went to the dinning hall. You guys didn't do anything per se, but you talked. It was about random stuff. You noticed when only around you her stutter wasn't as bad. It was like every other sentence instead of twice every sentence. You both then walked around and you found a machine that gave away prizes. Your eyes lit up and you ran towards it already taking out your Monokuma money. Toko scoffed and rolled her eyes, but she was smiling. She found it cute. You put a coin in. Fail. "Better luck next time." Toko said. You put another one in. Fail. "You are terrible." Toko added on. You used one last coin and won.

"Yes!" You hopped and went to see what you got. It was a bracelet. And everlasting bracelet. You turned around and gave it to her. "This is for you." "But you spent-you won-i-" She clearly wasn't used to being given things like this. Your face heated up as you remembered what kind of bracelet it was. "UH YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT MEANING ANYTHING YOU DON'T WANT IT TO. IT'S NOT LIKE A PROPOSAL OR ASKING YOU OUT IT'S...For friendship!"

"A friend? The last time I was considered that, was in a dream I had in grade school." She said. "Oh." She was giggling to herself. The two of you then got back to the hall where all your rooms are. The two of you kind of stood next to her door. She's not necessarily trying to go back in her room. Uh.. should I start a conversation? "So what do you like to do in your free time?" Ironically you both never talked about her interests. "Why do you wanna know?" She asked. "Because we're friends. And friends should know about each other." You replied.

"Wh-what if your trying to trick me!" She said. "Wha..." You muttered confused. "I've already been h-hurt once before. I'm not gonna l-let it happen again..!" That explains a lot. "You've been hurt? What happened?" You asked concern in your voice. "Come on, y-you don't really care about me... You don't want to kn-know about me! Even I know that...!" She said. "No! That's not true! It's just your insecurities!"
"F-fine. If that's true then tell me. You know why they c-call me the ultimate writing prodigy right?"
"I mean yeah you've won all kinda of literature prizes and stuff." You replied. "Then tell me wh-what I'm good at! Tell me what my genre specialty is! If you really wanna convince me you give a crap, you should at least kn-know that!" She said. "You specialize in romance." You said.

"Oh...you a-actually knew?" She said shocked. Your kinda used to her feeling that emotion around you. "I'm pretty sure if I remember correctly... Your biggest success was "So Lingers The Ocean." Everyone says it's your masterpiece. Didn't it shoot straight to the top of all the hottest men polls?" You said smiling as you were finally getting through to her you care.
"How d-did you know all that? There's no way you care about me...!" She said not wanting to believe it. "I'm telling you, I do! I mean we're friends aren't we?"
"I'm blind! Your straight forwardness and your personality blinded me!" She then ran off screaming like a banshee. You chuckled and little and sweat dropped.

You headed back to your room. The next day you woke up again to Monokuma's voice. That night you got three hours of sleep. Your gonna drop if you don't get more sleep. There was then a knock on your door. You tiredly got up and before you hardly opened the door Taka barged in. "A fantastic morning isn't it!" He said full of energy. "Taka!?" You said surprised. "Now then, if you'll pardon the interruption... No matter how intensely the stormy seas may batter me, I will not fall as long as my feet are firmly planted. You agree right?" "Uh.."
"And if you can't do it alone find someone to support you, and you can support them back! That's how you can overcome any storm!!!" You just kinda stood there. "I was thinking about it last night and...I decided we all need to really come together. Every morning from now on, after morning announcement, everyone should have breakfast together! And now is the beginning of that fateful day! Please head to the dinning hall at your earliest convenience." He then left to tell the others. You sweat dropped.

You then got ready and headed to the dinning hall. You were the third one there. You all waited for the others and eventually they all arrived. And of course Taka took the lead. "Okay looks like everyone is here. So then, let's begin our very first breakfast meeting!"

There wasn't anything to note but that this was needed. He then said we can stop and eat. "You w-want me to eat breakfast with other p-people? I've never done that before. I'm not s-sure..." Toko said fidgeting with her fingers. "Yeah it's been a while for me too." Leon said. Junko asked if anyone had found any clues. Silence. She then got annoyed and said it could be anything. "You are going to die. If you can't stop yourself from showing weakness in front of others, you will die." Celeste said.

They continued and talked but then Chihiro had an idea of who the mastermind behind all this might be. Somebody named Genocide Jack. While they continued to talk you noticed Toko looking worried. While nobody probably picked up on, thanks to her shyness, it you did. However you weren't gonna ask about now. And of course they were still ignorant a out the fact they are trapped. Well some of them anyway.

Monokuma showed up and was complaining. He then was saying that he found a motive for us. He then had a video for each and every one of the students. Eventually you Makoto and Sayaka went to see about those videos. Sayaka went to get the others while you and Makoto went ahead and watched yours.

When you out the DVD in you saw your family. Or what you considered your family. You had a pretty bad home situation which lead you to become the ultimate disguise. Your two friends you've had for years now. They both were just hanging out when it temporarily faded to black. When it came to you saw them both dead or unconscious, you couldn't tell. "Aw seems like something's happened to their wellbeing! Oh what could have possibly happened!?" Them the screen went black with large orange letters on it.

"What is this?? What happened to everyone!?" Makoto said. Yours finished at the same time as his. But you were frozen. You couldn't speak move and could hardly breathe. The fact you couldn't tell if they were dead or not was haunting you. "GOD DAMNIT!" Makoto yelled. He slammed his fist over and over again on the desk. Them you both had a single thought going through your mind. "I have to get our of here. I have to get out now! I need to make sure their safe!!" You yelled standing up.

"What happened?" Sayaka asked as she came back in. Everyone was at the entrance staring in confusion. Without a word you and Makoto pointed to the box of DVDS. They all put there's in and it didn't take long for a reaction chain to happen. They were talking but you didn't hear a word. Still in your own head. You came back minutes later when you heard sayaka practically scream at Makoto. She then ran off. "Let her go." Togami said. "I can't do that! I have to make sure she's okay!" Makoto said. "I hate romantic comedies like this. I don't care what h-happens to her personally..." Toko said. "That's because you're totally thoughtless!" Junko retorted. Everyone went there separate ways. You went to your room. You didn't know what to think. You tried to calm down and know not to think impulsively. Was anyone gonna act? Naw they wouldn't do that. Would they...?
