Tord had disappeared five years ago, when tom went to the police they told him there was no record of any Tord living in the area ever. Tom hadn't found another mate. he had gone on a few dates but always felt guilty; even though tom Hadn't seen him on five years tom still felt like he was cheating on Tord, after all they never actually broke up. Tom would often wear a collar that Tord had got him, and whenever he needed comforting he would wear one of tord's hoodies. Tom was at work waiting tables when it happened. A man walked in with a horned helmet on, everyone in the room could recognize that this was red leader. The hostesses hid behind the stand whimpering and the other waitrons hid in the back. Tom walked out and approached him. "hello welcome to [restaurant name] is it just you or will there be other people joining you" tom said.
Red leader leaned in close and whispered to Tom in a voice that he recognized instantly. "I was hoping you'd join me bunbun" he says.
Tom stares at him in disbelief before faintly saying "t-tord?"
Tord nods and Tom moves closer to him. "Let's get seated bunbun, I have a lot to tell you."
Tom led Tord to a table in his section and Tord sat down, pulling tom into his lap. "I'm sorry I had to leave so suddenly bunbun. I couldn't bring myself to break up with you, but it wasn't safe for you to stay with me while I was starting my army... " Tord kisses the back of toms neck gently "I'm sorry, I know I hurt you bunbun but I did what I had to do" Tord gently pets Tom's ears and Tom purrs softly "my army is strong enough to keep you safe bunbun, and I can take care of all your needs and wants, you won't have to work for anything ever again"
Tom turns to look back at Tord "you broke my heart... I went to the police to report you missing, but they sisnt have any records of you existing, i tried to move on but i couldn't..."
"Bunbun... Im sorry, leaving you hurt me too, but I had to do it so I could start my army and because I did that now you can stay with me forever" Tord thinks " you're allowed to be mad at me bunbun, I should've told you why I had to leave, but I was young and I knew it would hurt you if I told you and I couldn't bear to see you hurting, so I hurt you in a way that I wouldn't see you hurt" Tord sighs "I was being selfish, I didn't tell you I was leaving because it would hurt me more to do that, I couldn't take you with me because you could be used against me, but now, I want my bunbun back"
Tom sighs and lens into Tord shaking his head "my mom's gonna kill you when she finds out" he says and cuddles up to Tord. Tord picks tom up and takes the omega to the limo that he came in.  "Is your car here?" Tord asks
Tom shakes his head "no I walk to work" he says. Tord gets in the limo with Tom and takes his helmet off. Tom gasps and reaches to touch tords face. Half of it was burned and scarred.
Tom cupped tords cheek and pet his wolf ears gently. "What happened to you baby?" Tom asks.
Tord shakes his head "it doesn't matter bunbun what matters is that you're safe" he says and kisses him "you might've been hurt like I was if you were with me, and God knows I'd give up my whole army to save you if you got captured. Tord cups toms cheeks and kisses him. "I told you that you'll always be the pretty one in our relationship bunbun" he says and kisses his forehead.
Tom started to cry as he looked at Tord "I should've been there to help you, to take care of you when you were hurt..." He says
Tord shook his head "no bunbun, if we had been together when this happened it'd be a lot worse, you would've gotten hurt and that would've hurt me more than this did" Tord kisses toms forehead "your top priority is staying safe for me bunbun, and my top priority is keeping you safe" he says. "So bunbun, we're gonna go to your apartment and you can get your stuff, don't worry about your lease, the owner of the building is one of my men" he says.
"He bought the building shortly after I moved in... Have you been spying on me?"
Tord nods "I'm sorry bunbun I just needed to make sure you were safe."
Tom looks down "how much do you know about..."
Tord sighs "I know you tried to see other men after I left... I'm sorry i left you lonely bunbun but I had to do it... If it worked out with one of them o would've left you alone, all I want is for you to be safe and happy" tord kisses Tom's forehead "I feel bad about being so happy none of your relationships lasted"
Tom cuddled up to tord and they parked. Tord took off his jacket to reveal he was wearing a tank top underneath. He set it aside with his helmet and grabbed a bag from under the seat. He started to cover the burnt part of his face with concealer. Tom took the makeup from him "don't cover it, I don't care about your looks"
Tord shook his head "I don't want to cause a scene and have everyone stare ii.k i5 from the bag and looked at himself. He put his hand to the scarred side of his face, he looked like himself for once, he looked like he did befor the attack. Tord wrapped his arms around Tom and held him tight. "thank you... I-i look like me again..." He says. Tom let the alpha hold him until he let go and got out. Tom got out as well and led tord to the elevator. Tom hit the button to summon the elevator and when it arrives he got on with tord. Another tenant got on the elevator with them and pressed the button for his floor "what floor you on cutie?" He asks Tom
"Floor 15" Tom says.
The guy looks at Tord "what about you?"
Tord growls and pulls Tom close "I'm with him" he says.
Once the elevator doors open on the strangers floor he gets off and looks at Tom as the elevator start to close "you could do better" he says. Tord growls and holds Tom closer.
When the elevator reaches Tom's floor he gets off and leads tord to his apartment. Tom unlocks the door and opens it to see his latest ex boyfriend looking through one of his drawers.
"I told you I don't have anything of yours, I also told you to just put your key in my mailbox" Tom says
"No baby you don't understand, I'll be better, I promise, just give me one more chance and I promise I can please you baby" he says.
Tom shook his head "no, I told you we're over" he says. Tord moved so he was in the doorway behind Tom and looked at the other alpha.
"Oh, so you've already found another dick to bounce on, I knew I shouldn't have tried making it work with a whore bunny like you, all you sluts care about is having a good dick to knock you up with-"
Tord gently pushed past Tom and grabbed the alpha by the throat, walking over to the window and opening it, he pushed the other out the window still holding him by the throat. "no one insults my Tommy" he says before dropping the alpha 15 stories.
Tord then grabs his walkie talkie "code raven-candor, when I brought Tom back to his apartment building his ex boyfriend was there waiting to jump out the window, we couldn't stop him, over"
Tom stares at tord and blinks looking stunned.
Tord walks over to him and kisses his forehead "let's pack your things bunbun" Tord says.
Tom slept cuddled up next to tord in the limo as they rode to the base. Tom held his Tommie bear close and leaned into tords arm as he slept with his head on the alphas shoulder. When they arrived tord picked Tom up bridal style and brought him to tords house on the base. It was a nice house, but it was small since tord had been living there alone. Tord carried Tom upstairs and set him down on the bed, tucking him in before sliding into the bed next to him. Tord wraps his arms around the omega "I love you, bunbun"
