I wake up in the morning feeling dizzy. I don't know why, probably because I'm all tired. I stayed up all night trying to forget what the principle said. Maybe it was all a dream. Maybe. I look at my clock. I wonder why I woke up so early, because it's 7:05 in the morning. As soon as I was about to put my head back on my pillow, my mom walks in the room.
"Get ready for school honey."
Great. Just great. My mom is already dressed, with makeup and everything. Like ready for work. Work. Work? Did I just say work? Since when my mom had a job here? I just feel helpless by the moment. I quickly go to my mom's room and just stare at her.
"Common slow poke! Brush your teeth, take a bath, get dress, and when you finish, your lunch is in the kitchen. School starts at 8:00 sharp. I need to go to work."
'Since when do you have a job?'I say in my head. I follow her commands and just do what she says, not getting my self in a situation i don't want to be in.I just finished taking a bath and brushing my teeth. I look at my clock again.
7:35.
I look for something to wear, but there is nothing fascinating for me to put on. i just thrown on whatever there is.
I comb my hair strait and the front of my bangs. Once I finish, I go downstairs, and look for some breakfast. I just pull the refrigerator and grab an apple. My mom is sitting on the couch and looking at me like I'm a stranger."You're going like that?" she says looking at my shirt that says DON'T ASK ME,ASK YOURSELF and my skater skirt that is a little above my knees, but casual.
"Yeah. I just didn't know what to wear." I said.
"Ok Judy, if it's ok with you." Her voice sounds a little worried, but her face doesn't show it.
I just nod and head out the door. Once my foot steps out the door, I see kids, who look my age and older, going to school. Or I think they are. I get to the curb, and start reading my book, The Lovely Bones. It's really exciting. As I read I hear a sound. A sound sounding like a wheel rolling on concrete. And girls laughing. I look back.
Then all of a sudden, one girl with brown, long, shiny hair and has a face that lookes like she uses proactive, pushes me on the floor. She starts laughing. When I fall on the floor, It seems like I cant get up. I feel dizzy again. My book gets out of my hand.
I thought I was going to stay there forever, until a boy helped me up and said"Are you ok?". I squinted my eyes to see who it is, because the sun was in my eyes.
"Umm.... I don't know." I say, almost like I'm dying. He smiles and helps me up. I finally stop squinting. Wow. I have never seen a boy so....so... I cant explain.
"Now are you ok?" He says it with a smile, which makes me want to smile too.
"Yeah." I say bending over to get my book off the floor.
"Hey," he says. "Are you New?"
"Yeah". I quickly answer.
"You better watch out. These girls may go a little over temperature with you." He looks so serious about that.
"Thanks for the tip." I say it nervous, smelling trouble in the air.
"Hey, see you around?"
"See you around." I answer back.
This is the first experience I have had on my first day school.
