Dear reader, this story is the result of an (still) unauthorized attempt at adapting the beloved work published on FF.net in 2008, under the same title, from one of my favorite authors, into a Chaelisa story. I've contacted the original author many months ago, and I'm still waiting for her reply, but considering how old her piece of fanfiction actually is, I've given up hope of receiving an answer. So, here I am sharing the adaptation anyway, for as long as I'm allowed to. That being said, it's best to reiterate that this is a work of fiction and I own nothing of what is written here nor do I aim to make a profit out of it. This story deals with heavy themes such as death and grieving, so slight warnings apply, even though I wouldn't describe it as angsty. Please, read at your own discretion. I hope you enjoy and cherish this story as much as I do. :)
