Thoes five days passed, and Y/n's party came quick. Everything was set up, and all the girls were excited. And as thoes days went on, James became more and more nervous. Even though Sirius, Remus, and Peter hyped him up.

Each night since he had learned about that party, he had been dreaming about how everything. James continued to plan out whay he'd say to Y/n, but always thought some of it was stupid to say. But most of the dreams he had, were ones where Y/n forgave him. Like he hoped she would.

"You nervous?" Sirius asked, looking over at James as the two sat on the couch.

James shrugged "Obviously, Sirius." He said, "I mean, I haven't spoken to her since everything. I'm sure she's gonna slap me or something." He said.

Sirius sighed, he knew the truth. He knew Y/n's feelings about James, how she still loved him and always would. But he made a promise to Y/n, that he wouldn't say a word. And he's kept that promise, he wasn't about to break it now.

Sirius sighed "Just come on, James, even if it doesn't go the way you think. We'll be at a party with drinks, and shit." He said, "How bad could that be?"

James shrugged "Maybe, I dunno man." He said, "I-i just wanna make it up to her, I wanna do everything to make it up to her. Prove to her that I love her and only her." He said.

"Well, tonight you'll get your answer man." Sirius said, patting his shoulder.

James nodded "Yeah, I can do this." He said, feeling more confident than ever.

The night of the party, James stood outside Y/n's house. He could hear the music inside, and not a soul was outside. The other boys had already gone in, and his excuse was that he needed a minute. He wondered how that was even managed, how she managed such a controlled party.

Y/n, I'm here on your doorstep
And I planned it out for weeks now
But it's finally sinkin' in
Y/n, right now is the last time
I can dream about what happens when
You see my face again

The only thing I wanna do
Is make it up to you
So I showed up at your party

James took in a deep breath, and brought his hand up to knock on the door. His knuckles hit the hard wood, and waited for an answer. It took a minute before the door was opened, and there stood Y/n. Her hair styled the way it always was, and she had on a long cardigan and leggings.

Yeah, I showed up at your party

When Y/n saw James, the air was punched from her lungs. He looked as amazing as he always did. His untidy black hair a slight curled mess, and as fluffy as ever. He had on a black hoodie, with a pair of black jeans.

James gulped and took a deep breath "Can we please talk?" He whispered, expecting her to lash out and say no. Which wouldn't surprise him.

She was silent for a moment, she didn't really know what to say. Y/n inhaled and stared at him, and James was worried and panicked that she would say no and slam the door.

Y/n nodded "Yeah, sure." She whispered, knowing it was so hard to say no to him "Let's go to the garden." She said closing the door.

In the garden would you trust me
If I told you it was just a summer thing?
I'm only 17, I don't know anything
But I know I miss you.
