Chapter 21:

2nd POV

Location: Forest

Now that you left minutes ago, the purple flames that were flushing the forest and spreading themselves around soonly weakened into some sort of pleasant Aurora Borealis, letting some droplets of melted ice float around Kenneth who was finally having some time to take advantage of the climate.

You didn't know but when you warmed up the temperature with your flame you weaken him and he just found out that heat was his greatest weakness as yours was the cold. And now that you were gone, he can fight adequately without worrying to be slowed down by his inner system that automatically froze.

At first, a few hours ago, he was in a room locked with some trackers. Because he kept escaping into Gaster's office to mess around or the break room to get some coffee and few snacks while flirting with the rookies, the scientists lost their trust in the younger and elevate the protection of the protocol. He had at least three vigils that were pushed to stay at his door and two others inside to keep an eye on him.

I think you get it now, this guy can't stay in place... so he escaped again, no one really knows how the two guards didn't notice him leaving or how the three others that were outside didn't see him open the door and casually leaving but what we all have learned today is that he's the one who freed Killer from his cell.

Why you might ask, well Kenneth, Kenth for short, is a troublemaker and a very big one. For example, there's you, who tend to have some arsonist idea or have some crazy side, but him, he tends to make his crazy ideas real and is a mad guy.

So his idea was to do a 1v1 with Killer.

Yes.

You read it well, Kenth asked Killer, in exchange for his liberty, to have a duel with him. Which of course he gladly accepted.

Now, he has two opponents, both stronger than him yet he couldn't help but have a little game of fighting with them, it was just too exciting to get stabbed without having the ability to die!

(I swear he's not that bad!)

A multitude of sharp spikes made of ice came out under Killer and Error, making one of them gain a slash. Killer's jaw has been touched and is now dripping blood. Error on the other hand was intact and didn't have any problem in dodging his attacks.

He won't let this fight end, not until he won. No matter what happens, he wants to eliminate them and for once, he has the advantage of the situation, now that he's not able to die.

Location: Nightmare's castle:

Scoundrel's condition was a mystery to Sci-Ko's eyes. Working for Nightmare for quite some time, he has taken cared of many injuries and improbable problems of the boys but never has he meet such foreign magic. The burnt mark left on his body was a purplish bruise that was little by little covering the entire limb of the body.

As for the skeleton in question, he didn't shown any sign of waking up, didn't move any finger at the feeling of the cold water, and didn't flinch when Sci-Ko smashed his knee with a metal hammer. Despite the absence of reaction, his magic has never been overflown that much in strength.

Nightmare didn't think that the younger scientist could heal the skeleton state with common magic and didn't expect anything new from him. What he was thinking is to find the source of this curse and threaten them just a little bit so they can fix their mistake, or else...

Who doesn't like the "or else" of Nightmare?

He wonders if they might be related to one of those three energies...

Location: where we left MC

Ink looks at you with a demeanor that says everything. He didn't like you for various reasons, you have never met before, never talk or never seen each other and he hated you. He said that you were probably related to a bastard that he despite the most for, once again, some reason.

It was ridiculous.

You were lifted in the air with his soul manipulation ability and had a pretty view of your soul, with a rainbow energy wrapping it. You would have enjoyed it if it wasn't for the situation.

"I can clearly tell that you two are related by the way you two behave-" he blurts out, but before he could finish his sentence, you interrupted him with a glare, no longer fearing him because you knew that he couldn't get involved in the AUs timeline and stories so he couldn't harm you.

"You act like a fucking asshole and yet I don't compare you to Nightmare."

"..."

This was it, he loses his chills and shifts his finger to his left which leads to a tree full of icy spikes and holes made by Killer. You widen your eyes as you were thrashed at the sharp's end of the pikes, few meters away at great speed. You shut your eyes down as you tried to protect your body with your arms and legs the best way you could, not wanting to see anything of this upcoming disaster.

He couldn't do this.
He can't.
It was unfair.

You widen your eyes again when you felt the back of your jacket being pulled and throw down on the snow, the action strangling you but also saving you as it prevents you in any way to attain the spikes. You felt your body laying on the ground and immediately sat up, your eyes lights gone from the shock.

Your breathing was as fast as your soul was bumping in your rib cage, your legs were trembling and your purple tears were dropping ceaselessly.

You place one of your gloved hands at your mouth in hast, an imminent feeling of disorientation invading your mind and the envy of puking your dinner appearing as you heard two voices yelling at each other behind you.

Two sweatdrops drip down on your skull as you finally notice how close you were to be jabbed by hundreds of thin and sharps spikes that were at least one meter away from you, your feet slightly touching one of them.

The yelling around you diminished into silence but your mind was too preoccupied with the pain that you could have felt if you weren't saved by that person, your vision still staring at the spikes in pure shocks and your trembling not calming down.

"Are you hurt?" a soft and low voice from behind you spoke, moving themselves near to assist you.

You turned your head slightly at them, showing your puffy eyes sockets, and glance at them with very dim light, almost unnoticeable. A black and yellow figure was what you have seen, golden crown, boots, gloves and clothes, black pants and sleeves, it was Dream, your savior.

He notices your sobbing face and kneels at your level, sighing silently as he poses his hand on your shoulder, hoping for his aura to make you feel better so you could rest.

"Hey-"

An intense energy arose when his hand made contact with your shoulder as his eyes socket went wide with no light in it. His hand quickly going back as he looks at you with skepticism and worries.

"Y-you... Poor child!"
