halu, it's been a long time! and i'm sorry.

but here's a new update, and don't worry, i have chapter eighteen ready in the next two days! please expect!

i had to review and reread the whole story because i partially forgot the plot, so i just uhm advise that y'all maybe reread the whole book or at least the last (or last two) chapter/s first so you can understand the context. but just in case, this chapter is basically jimin's first day of school as a 4th year college student. and it was a fail. . . kinda.

thank you for waiting! i hope you enjoy the update ^^ sorry for any errors btw :<

Opening the door, Jimin reluctantly entered the car, taking the passenger seat. Jungkook, the driver, gave him a welcoming pat on the shoulder. Immediately Jimin was hit by that awful lavender scent circulating within the flow of air, and he felt the need to vomit even more. He gulped, breathing in and out to adjust before cocking his head to Jungkook.

"Are you ready?" He asked Jungkook.

Jungkook's brows knitted close, looking at him up and down like he was trying to examine him. "No, you," He said. "Are you ready?"

"What is that question, of course—"

Jungkook interrupted, "I'd say the same for you."

They stared at each other in silence before Jimin managed to sigh heavily, breaking the atmosphere. "Just give me a stick, and all will be good," Jimin demanded while, this time, he stared impassively at the windshield.

"Huh." Jungkook squinted his eyes at the man next to him. He was a little irritated, for sure.

Three days earlier, Jimin agreed to Jungkook's offer to pick him up and drive him to school. But Jungkook had clearly stated the condition that if Jimin was, by any means, not yet mentally prepared for school, he wouldn't pick him up. He even advised him to stay at home if that was the case.

Easing his tone, Jungkook said, "I told you, hyung." The other one just shrugged in response, not providing him any kind of clarity. "I told you that if you don't feel well, stay home-"

"Oh man, we're not going to start—"

"And let nothing bother you—"

"This piece of crap again."

For the second time, Jungkook felt offended, his tongue couldn't help but push his inner cheek away. His eyes were seething. "You think this is nothing? You think it is?" He raised his voice and clenched his jaw. "You said you're all okay, but now you're asking for a cigarette? Stop."

"I think it is redundant," answered Jimin. He, too, was annoyed. Everyone from his friend group but him believed that he shouldn't proceed to attend the school's first day unless he was of a sound mind, that he was mentally prepared. He thought that what if he was always mentally unready, would he then just abandon his service to his degree?

"Why so?" Asked Jungkook in an urgent, forceful manner while eyeing him fiercely. "Is it because I'm younger than you are?"

"No- man, no." Disappointed, he averted his attention away from him yet again. "I don't have time for explaining, kid. School is starting any minute by now." He glared at him in the eyes once more, his burning stare matching his, fuming with exasperation. "Now if you don't want to give me one stick, then just drive me there. Otherwise I can get off, but not without ripping the door from its clutch."

Still angered, Jungkook made a choice to do as what he said. But not without cursing under his breath.

When Jungkook parked the car at a vacant space, he took a quick glance at his friend before pushing the door open and swinging his bag over his shoulder. Before leaving, he told Jimin to suit himself and lock the door afterwards. The journey towards the appointed room was rather quick that before he even knew it, he'd already arrived at its doorstep. A small, gratifying smile grew from his lips as his eyes met Chaeyoung's. The lady was wearing the newer design of the Fine Arts uniform as she sat on a seat of the last row. Frankly, when Jungkook first saw the design, he was revolted by the absolute poor choice of having color stripes on the collar. But he thought it didn't look so bad in Chaeyoung after all.
