Ethan stood, unlocked the gate - Small push. For him it wasn't hard, anyone else - Some strength would have been necessary.   Thankfully, Benton always kept the gate maintained (Oiled)      Ethan watched as it swung open, it should have been "open".   It was "closed" - Odd. Why was it closed? While crawling away from a "Completely-beside-herself-delighted" angel and her curious ghost friends, Ethan got the feeling the mansion wasn't the "buzz" spot, our local town had advertised it as.

(He couldn't be sure that it had actually happened. But, yes.   The general public had entered a place, no one should go to. Unless they had a death wish!)

Also. While trying to scramble/get the angel and co - To follow.    Ethan had glanced up at the billboard advertisements.      Local council and all had gone all out to sell the mansion as a "go to" place - For business, events, luxury breaks away!   Even just an elegant dinner and glass of wine, night out.        And, the gates were closed.

The mansion still looked to have activity, but something was still amiss.     Ethan pushed the gates even more wide open, turned - Found the angel standing right in his face.    She gave him a hard poke, Ethan shot her a stern look back (Her watery eyes stared back in honest fright)     It took all of Ethan's will power not to poke her right back (She would have deserved it)    But, the plan. The next step!

He had to get them on mansion grounds.    The plan would be more clear to him, he could tap into some "magic".    The grounds always made a lot of things clearer.       The mansion had a while back, whispered about EB to him, he had shared his thoughts on Hector.   The mansion loved it when he "did shit".    Stuff he shouldn't be doing, but he did it any way (Till Clark would catch him in the act)

He looked over to Hector, then Pixie.   They had to be out of the hands of the other ghosts.    He had to have a solution to angel-bitch.  Ethan looked up the driveway, head deeper (Get the problem to the backyard)      He flicked a look at EB (She was giving him dagger-eyes. She was actually beyond angry. She had no idea what the hell he was playing at!)

Ethan suddenly took off down the driveway.   To him, it wasn't a long distance (But. The driveway was actually quite deceiving) At first, it didn't look to be far.   You went through the gates, saw the mansion - Started drive, then you were glad you were "driving" - Not "walking" the distance.

It wouldn't be much ground for the ghosts to cover.

Benton once said, it was planned/built to be seen from the road. But, respectfully maintained it's distance from the public.     Clark would alway add...."Like all noble women of time. Look, admire. Beckoned close at your own will!.."

The angel's eyes bulged at what she had just witnessed, flicked a hand to the others to quickly follow (Ethan wasn't to get away)    The angel was an intelligent ghost, at the back of her hateful thoughts - She knew Ethan was up to no good. So this throwing himself on the ground/actually acting strangely scared of them - Was leading to a bigger picture.     She knew that.   But, ghosts function on a loop.   They had managed so far to stop the "loop", they were doomed to play out.

(No knew of their "loop". Ghosts are set to play out a moment in time. Spirits can act more independently)

They had all used the energy of being trapped between neither here, nor there.    But, the "loop" would catch up with them soon.    Pixie's mother was going to drag Pixie back with her.    That would probably kill her. Then, she really would be back with her mother.   Hector?    Killing was on the cards, but perhaps for now,  a "use" could still be had of him.     Like Ethan, the angel had a few strategies playing around in her misty head.
