Chapter 9: the woods

Vijay's POV

The Kaiser chiefs no longer exist. With our lead singer gone we cannot perform anymore. Anyway we are all to depressed to make music now.

This morning I was fed up of life without Ricky. Being with the rest of the band didn't feel right without Ricky. So I decided to run away. I ran to the woods on the edge of town.

Me and Ricky used to come here for privacy. We could kiss here, were there is nobody to walk in in us.

I sat at the bottom of the old oak tree. I took the picture of Ricky out of my pocket. I sat staring at it for hours.

Eventually, I took the pen- knife out of my pocket too. I made more cuts on my arm. The last one that I engraved into my skin, was deeper than any I had ever done before. It must have cut a vein. I felt very dizzy and very sick. The world started spinning. I passed out.

Peanuts POV

Vijay had disappeared. We looked for him for hours but we couldn't find him. Simon has gone out in the car to see if he can see him in town.

Simon's POV

I drove around town for about an hour. Still no sign of him. I decided to go to the woods. I doubt that he would be there, but it is the only place that I can think to look before we report him to the police as missing.

As I walked through the woods I shivered. Something about this place didn't feel right today. "Vijay?!!" I shouted. A massive oak tree caught my eye. I had never seen this one before. At the bottom of it there was a person.

"Vijay!!!!" I screamed. He was lying on the floor. There was a large pool of blood around him. I ran up to him "Vijay! VIJAY!! Are you awake?" I knelt in the blood. I gently shook him. The wind howled eerily through the trees.

I looked around. Shadows. I shuddered. Surely this is just my imagenation? No. There was someone or something lurking in the trees. A twig snapped behind me.

Somebody came from behind me. Somebody else came from the front and another from the side. We were surrounded. "AAAAAARRRHHHH!!!"
