I woke up groggy. It seems like you can never get enough sleep in this house. In this house... Shit! I had fallen asleep in my parent's and Trey's house! I had school today!
I desperately tried to scramble out of bed, but failed miserably. My legs were tangled up in the sheets and I fell off the bed.
I groaned. It hurt.
I probably looked super weird, half of the covers were piled on top of me, and my legs were all wrapped up in the sheets. My hair was so tangled too, I bet.
I tried to glance up at my clock, but I wasn't Elastigirl, so I couldn't extend my neck to see the numbers. I would probably break my neck if I got the angle right anyway.
I shoved the covers and sheets off of my legs and stood up. I glance at the clock while walking to my closet.
Okay, so maybe being ten minutes late to class wouln't be to bad. It was like seven, and school starts at eight o'clock on Fridays. Instead of getting out early, Emily told me, everyone would start late. I say that it's way better than getting out early, but maybe I was saying that right now because I was late.
I had about ten minutes to get ready and then start the fifty minute drive to school.
I jumped into the shower and rinsed off quickly. I grabbed my clothes and rushed to put them on, taking my wig and jumped down the stairs two at a time.
I flew by my mom as I entered the kitchen.
"Hey, honey!" She said.
She started to put down a place mat for me and breakfast.
"Mom, I slept here! It's Friday, I have school, and it's a fifty minute drive, and I can't be late! Oh, God,I'm going to get a tardy and then I'll get expelled and then I won't be able to connect with the fans and the non-fans. They're all equal and you can't discriminate against them! God, Mom, why do you discriminate against my non-fans!" The words spewed out of my mouth uncontrollably.
Mom waited for me to finish ranting. She knew that when I was stressed out I tended to rant about random things.
"Are you done?" She asked with a little smirk on her face. I nodded. She pushed herself off the side of the counter she was leaning against.
"I'm sorry, I'm just kinda stressed, because I don't have a lot of time. Can you pretty please help me get the wig on and stuff while I eat?" I batted my eyelashes and pouted.
She ruffled my hair as she went to get the milk and the cereal. I glared at her back and fixed my hair.
She made my cereal, then smiled at me.
"Can I do your 'hair' now, Miss Superstar?" She asked, making quotation marks when she said 'hair'.
I tossed her the wig and she put all the bobby pins in. She snapped the cap on. I winced. I reached up and rubbed the spot were it was snapped against my skin. I wish I could wear the wig without the cap, but my naturally brown hair would peek out and I wouldn't be as unrecognizable.
I quickly finished eating my cereal. I waited for Mom to finish doing my 'hair'.
"Done!" She exclaimed. "Perfect!" She handed me a exuse for me being late, I hadn't even noticed that she had scribbled down a note.
I thanked her and ran out the door, grabbing my bag as I flew out the door. I made the quick decision to take Mom's Honda instead of my car. I mean, it would look a little suspicious to someone if I showed up in a two hundred thousand dollar car. I really like my Porsche, but it wouldn't go with the whole school scene.
