He Kept My Secret: Chapter Six; Study Session

I sighed as I read the article for the third time. These celebrity gossip magazines are so annoying, but not nearly as annoying as the paparazzi, sneaky little shits they are. I can't get any privacy.

The article showed one of my many unlucky moments at the meet and greet. The paparazzi snapped a photo right when Jesse and I saw each other. It was actually really creepy, he just stared at me for five seconds.

Flashback:

Bree had just left the meet and greet table and I watched her go back to Jesse and Dylan. Jesse reached out to hug her and I just kept staring. I wondered why Dylan was with them. I knew he was a huge fan but I didn't see him at the meet and greet 'til Bree and Jesse started talking. More like yelling, but whatever. When they finished hugging our eyes connected for just a second.

I felt Holly tap my shoulder. There was a fan in front of my side of the table, waiting for a picture and an autograph. I quickly took the pictures and signed her merch.

"Sorry Hols, I was just a little distracted," I apologized.

"It's okay, Kayla. Let's just do these last ones before we go get a snack or something. I'm starving,"

Flashback Over

The picture was taken right when Jesse and my eyes connected. The caption was so stupid, I mean, really? I only looked at him for a second.

Does Kayla Burns have a secret boyfriend? How is she managing to keep it all undercover?

The article I read was even stupider.

Rumors of Kayla Burns having a secret boyfriend have been popping up everywhere since her meet and greet with Holly King at the Deer Park Mall. Kayla Burns was caught staring off into space, at first look. The superstar is looking directly at a stranger off to the side of the table (Refer to photo above). Is it possible that Kayla is an extremely good actress as well? How is she keeping her boyfriend a secret?

Abigail Hanson and Tori Young, a few young fans of Kayla Burns, were completely supportive of the situation, stating: 'We are so happy for Kayla, ever since the beginning of her career she's been single so it's so exciting that she at last found a sweetheart!' said Tori Young. Her friend Abigail also made some important points. 'I think that it's great that Kayla finally has a boyfriend; if it turns out this rumor is true, but I find it hard to believe Kayla kept him under the radar for so long. I mean, Kayla's not a very good actress. Tori, don't you remember when Holly wanted the director to cast Kayla for the open spot in 'Paradise in Hell'? It's needless to say, Kayla didn't get the role.'

I was miffed when I read that part. Aren't fans supposed to be nice?

While the fans do bring up some good points, we can't help but wonder, if he isn't her boyfriend, who is he?

The magazine issue had just come out today. Emily had just plopped it down on my desk before she went to the bathroom. No explanation, she just dropped it on my desk.

My first thought was, does she know? But then I realized she probably just needed somewhere to put it while she was gone.

About five minutes went by and she was still in the bathroom. I was a nervous wreck. Was this just her discreet way of telling me she knew?

Ten more minutes. At this point I wasn't even half listening to the teacher. The manicure I'd had yesterday had been a complete waste of money. I couldn't cope. I was bursting to know what this magazine was doing on my desk.
