I trudged down the hallway, the murmurs of "-new kid-" and "-the game-" clouding my ears.
I wandered around the halls looking for the principal's office. I stopped when I saw Emily by her locker.
"Hey, Emily! Do you know where the principal's office is?" I called over to her.
She looked up and her eyes brightened.
"Yeah. I'll walk you there." She smiles.
We walked over to the office. She darted off with a quick 'bye' saying she needed to get to class.
I opened the door to the principals office, only to came face to face with the 'bad boy' and his 'posse', by looks of it.
"You new?" He asked me. I nodded, not trusting my mouth to speak.
"Awesome. It's time there's more players in my game." He walked off with his 'posse' trailing after him.
Hmm, cocky much? I thought.
Then I remembered something that was nagging me. It's only my first day and I already have the 'bad boy' and his 'posse' after me. And he has a 'game'!? Something tells me I won't be playing nicely in this game. Also that I really don't want to play the game. But, another thing tells me that the 'game' will make my fake life so much more interesting. Yet I don't even know what it is!
Ugh! Why is high school so bloody confusing!?!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I trudged up the steps to the laboratory section of the school. I was so exhausted! And don't even get me started on the mountain of homework! That pile's so big, I could climb it! It didn't help that I was in all AP classes.
Luckily though, I haven't seen the 'bad boy' since our encounter this morning. I've been kinda in a bitchy mood after that.... But anyways! Other than that, today was swell! Note the sarcasm.
I have homework. Mountains of it! I got a call from my agent telling me I had to get dressed for meeting Mario from Extra! for another interview about the move. What's so damn exciting about Kayla Burns moving from her rundown hometown, to Beverly Hills! Actually, now that I think about it, it does sound kinda important. But besides that! I had to go in that nasty smelling washroom and hide so the people wouldn't find out I was Kayla Burns to take the damn phone call. I could have died!
I could go on and on all about how this day was so horrid, but of course I can't do that because I have a days worth of freaking homework to do! Goodbye social life! I'll miss you dearly! Don't forget me!
But I'm also happy because this is the last period and then I'm home free! Besides that stupid interview. So after this period, I can also take this itchy wig off. Hallelujah!
I threw down my bag on the floor by my chair and sat down. I laid my head down on the desk and sighed. This day would soon be over.
The bell rang and about fifteen kids came poring in. The teacher followed them. He looked like an old guy who didn't give a shit about anything so long as he could retire. It's a shame how right I was. He looked like he was only fifty or something like that.
I almost died when I saw Emily bounding in. How could she leave me to suffer this alone! I may have also had a heart attack when she slid in the seat next to me acting like nothing was wrong. I hate the world.
"Hey! How was your first day? I bet it was a blast!" She smiled all enthusiastically about absolutely nothing.
I just held my head and groaned in response. She's shitting me, right?
