You straightened up your shirt and took a deep breath of the cool afternoon air of Hereford. Looking around, you took in the atmosphere of the quaint town that was close to Hereford HQ.On one end of the main road sat a hardware store, that looked like it had been there for a century at least. Other shops and restaurants dotted the main road, blanketed by a cloudless sky. The nice weather had brought out nearly every resident of the sparsely populated town, giving the sidewalks a tight-knit sea of people walking around, saying hi to neighbors. After all, there was pretty much no other reason to come to Hereford unless you were a member of Rainbow, or needed to hide from somebody, in possibly one of the most unassuming towns in England. Walking past some shops, you noticed a man with a spiked jacket typing furiously on a laptop. It looked like he was wearing some sort of mask... with LEDs? Strange, but oh well whatever kids are into these days. You spied an electronics store and made a mental note of where it was in case you needed something for your PC later. You debated checking it out, but you had somewhere to be. The only reason you were out right now and not streaming was that Six had offered to get lunch with you so she could interview you about your background and qualifications. You spied here sitting at a table outside of a cafe by some river docks.

"Hey, Six!" You called out to get her attention. She glanced up and motioned you over.

"Y/n! So good to see you!" She said back as you walked over. The jeans and Tee shirt were a stark contrast from the usual business attire you'd seen her in. 'Damn, I could get used to this place' You thought to yourself as you went to sit down.

A/N: you will not indeed get used to this place...

"Is this seat taken?" You asked as you sat down at the chair across from Six.

"Y/n! so glad you could make it," Six said as she sipped her coffee and reached into her bag. Your eyes darted to the bag out of habit, making sure Black AF1 activity was not about to take place. You exhaled as she pulled a tan folder out of her bag, and placed it on the table. You were tense, this was probably the most important job interview you'd ever been to, despite the location. Your knee bounced anxiously on the ground as you tried to remember the last time you had applied for a job after serving and then studying and being self-employed for so long.

"So is this the part where you give me the boot because I'm retired and don't have a CTU?" You asked, trying to lighten your nerves.

"Actually yeah...."

"Wait, what?" you asked, eyes wide.Six stared at you for a moment, dead serious, until she cracked into a fit of snickers.

"Of course not, you should have seen your face!" She said with a snicker.

"Oh thank god, I was worried I'd have to re-enlist..."

"Thankfully no, but I'd like to know about the first time that you did." Six inquired.

Oh jeez, here we go...

"ah, here's the interrogation..." You joked

"Oh shut up, I just don't want you to get yourself killed."You laughed, and dropped your shoulders, leaning back in the chair.

"Well I didn't in Kuwait or Afganistan did I?" Six leaned forward in her chair and sipped her coffee.

"Finally, the interesting part."Typically you didn't care too much for telling everyone and anyone about your service, only going into surface-level detail when asked. Yet now you found yourself wanting to give Six every detail you could... almost wanting to impress her.
