My roommate Angie, and I woke up to my alarm set for 6 o'clock the next morning in the London hotel. Naturally, she slept straight through the alarm. I left it going for a while to see if she would wake up but eventually I got annoyed and turned it off. I got dressed and then shook her as hard as I could until she woke up. She woke up groggily and then rubbed her eyes before getting up and getting dressed. by the time we were done it was 7 o'clock and we supposed to meet with the others having eaten breakfast at 8:45.

"Omg!" I sighed

"What?" Angie asked

"I just realized we could have woken up at 7 and would have had an hour to get ready and 45 minutes to eat breakfast!"

"Yeah."

I moaned thinking that I could have slept another hour. I guess I'm not used to the time difference yet.

An hour later Angie's mom knocked on the door to take us down to breakfast.

We took the elevator down to the 1st floor and then stood in line for 20 minutes only to find that the hotel screwed up our order and instead of having a warm breakfast like EF had payed for we had to have a continental breakfast of cold croissants and nasty cereal that we had to eat with a fork.

Once having had our subpar breakfast we met in the lobby with the others in our group. We had gotten there about 10 minute before the time the coach (tour bus) was supposed to arrive. So, of course, 10 minutes passed by followed by another 10 minutes followed by another 10 minutes which eventually added up to an hour.

When the coach finally arrived David was furious and the rest of us just wanted to get on with our day.

once we got to Windsor Our tour Guide Alan had an announcement.

"To your right you will see an endangered species in London: the public toilet." he said

Everyone ran to the bathroom as fast as they could because they knew that they wouldn't see another one for the next four hours or so.

Once having gone to the bathroom we proceeded to Windsor castle. It was a massive structure of layers of walls made of stone. There was an outer layer with posts for archers and huge iron gates. Then once we walked in through the first gate there was another wall that held back the now invisible moat. Beyond that wall was a tower on a steep grass hill that was at least 15 feet high and I'm not joking when I said it was steep. it was probably just shy of 90 degrees.

After that we walked to the entrance to the main castle and said our goodbyes for the time being with Alan and then picked up audio guide for the first exhibit which was queen Mary's doll house. We walked through a small square too that was taken up mostly by a massive dollhouse filled with extravagant and real things.

There were things like working lights running water and real silver utensils made to scale. Even the books were real with writing from prevalent authors of the time. There was even whine in the small wine bottles. Everything was set up and made with precise detail to be a real functioning palace.

Next we moved on to the state houses which were what used to be the living quarters of the royal family in medieval times. None of the rooms actually looked like you could live in them but they're were painted with bright colors and covered in beautiful original paintings collected by the royal family over the ages. each room had about 20 paintings in it.
