MudPuddle's Desire

Chapter 3

           Mudkit got to the nursery and started to eat the mouse he had picked up.
"It's getting late, Mudkit. You should head to bed after your finished." Mossflame mewed. 
"Okay." He said through bites.
Mossflame trotted back into the nursery.
           Once he had finished he walked into the nursery, choosing a nest away from all the others.

     Mudkit woke up, a high-pitched screech sounded outside of the camp. Fawnfur. He sat up, rubbing his eyes with his forepaw.
"Why was he out of camp?!"  A voice that sounded like Fawnfur hissed.
      
         Mudkit got up and walked out of the Nursery. Alderstar, Rowanwing, StormFly, Pearlstorm, Fawnfur, Mossflame and Foxthorn all were standing face to face, FawnFur, Mossflame and Pearlstorm all had their kits next to them. The kits looked as if they had seen a ghost, What in the name of StarClan happened while I was sleeping..?
      
"Why was he out of camp?!" Fawnfur hissed again, her tail rapped around Dawnkit and BreezeKit, in an effort to protect them, Mudkit guessed.
     Mudkit shoved his way through the gathered warrior to get to his mother's side, Owlkit glared at him as he got into view. What's his problem?
" I'm not sure, Fawnfur. I had no part in him leaving. " Alderstar replied calmly.
Fawnfur hissed, " Who was on guard then?" She turned around, her tail bringing Dawnkit and Breezekit with her. Alderstar glanced at Rowanwing.
"SwirlBear and Frostclaw should have been there." Mudkit looked back into the crowd of warriors, picking out the brown furred warrior and the gray tom.
Swirlbear and Frostclaw stepped up, there heads dipped and looking at their paws.
"We never saw anything.." Frostclaw mewed shyly.
"In the name of StarClan, how are you two warriors?!" Fawnfur hissed, pushing her way through the crowd and going back to the Nursery.
    Once Fawnfur had moved out of the way, Mudkit could see Graykit laying beside where Fawnfur was standing. Mudkit gasped, looking at his body. He's dead!
