He touched John's chubby cheek and John looked up at sherlock. He felt safe now more than ever, he was tempted to volunteer to go with him, he knew about the baby and he could feel Mary's gaze on him but he didn't care, all that mattered now was the dark haired fool who was holding him tight.
A shot thundered through the air and snapped like a whip. It was followed by a scream, a scream so terrible that it could only mean one thing.
