This is not part of the storyline, you can skip this chapter.

Hi guys! I felt like I needed to talk a little about this story, what I want it to become, what inspired me to write it, and also what kind of triggers this story may have. (see the bottom of this chapter for what triggers you may expect for each chapter)

A really important thing that I should mention is that this work is Fandom-Blind Friendly, which means that you can read this story with no knowledge of the Dream SMP storyline. I tried to not break any boundaries, but if you are to see that I wrongly broken any kind of boundaries any of the presented cc's have set, please dm me regarding this matter. (another important thing: English is not my first language)

First of all, this story is about a god falling for what it means to be human, and thus for the said human who teaches him this. I tried to make it be a story that doesn't focus on romantic love, but rather on a kind of love that us, humans, cannot understand. I tagged it as Dreamnotfound, but do not expect any kind of interactions that basically yell "I love you and I want you be my soul mate" (or some sort of "I want you inside me"). Dream and George do not fall in our kind of love.

Also, I'd like to tell you that gods feel things in a different way, and way stronger. If you look at your best friend and think that you love them, a god looks at what we call best friend (rarely do they use human, imperfect terms to name relationships) and know that, when the time comes, they are willing to lose any part of their body for them. Sometimes, not even a human could handle going through such intense feelings - like feeling so sad you could die over a spot of grass that withered in a random corner of a forest. So, if you see Dream talking about love and attachment, do not try to make a kind of relationship that in reality isn't there.

This was inspired by the song Achilles Come Down by Gang of Youths, and also by the book The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller.

I have lots of plans for this story, and for every important character. I have back stories for them, and I'll try to not limit them to a few personality traits and activities.

Trigger warnings for each chapter: (to ne updated after every new chapter)
- mention of death (depicted): chapter 1 part 3 (Today of all days see - part 3)

This is the song, if you were curious:
