Introduction - It Ends

None may elude death;

It prowls hidden and whispers,

"Treasure is each breath,

Brothers and sisters.

Do your shoulders grow like mine

As time leaves blisters?

Scheme of poor design,

But mortality hangs loose

From but a thin line.

Thus I am the noose,

The great burden bound by fate;

Lost wars with no truce."

Such is now my state,

Born among the plains during

Their loss of clean slate

With endless whirring

Defining my tired soul.

Rocks stripped from quarry,

Grand homes, clothes of wool,

As a leech latched on the earth

Draining the great pool.

What a life is worth

May romantically endure

Eternal rebirth.

Locked upon grand floors,

The house of God grants passage

To the loudest roars,

A thousand passes

All noble, perhaps not sage,

But tricks to masses.

An explosive age

Of relentless advancement,

Weak not in its wage.

Ample enhancement

Along the edge of absurd.

Future abandoned.

I have never heard

A sound clearly from above,

But just scattered words.

Truth, justice and love,

Unity of bird and toad,

Peaceful as the dove.

Not a rigid code,

Comprehension lacks the form

To know the right road.

We weather the storm,

Crafting woe into an ode

Which may keep us warm.

So although my mode's

What many a man chooses,

I shall bear no load.

Speak not of muses,

I seek the aid of no force.

He who cheats loses.

To live with remorse

Is the greatest human strife.

What life at the source?

Cutting edge of knife

Dismantles the fragile mind,

Enigma of life.

Judging eyes are blind,

Therefore I now cease to judge,

Therefore I am kind.

Rising from the sludge,

I now relate my epic

Microscopic smudge.

Lying in bed sick

Gives way to swift, useless fights;

Fruit too ripe to pick.

No matter your plight,

Name that which we cannot share

Spinning day to night.
