He was peeing in the car park
And blowing his nose into rags and thorns
When from the corner of his eye,
He thought he saw a torch.
But before he could even gesture,
The old man was on the floor

Above him stood a woman who had averted her gaze.
Her hands that looked like book pages
Wiped the tears from her face
It's disturbing how her profession is tattooed to her tongue
THE ANGEL OF DEATH in black block capitals
She says - "Old man, I'm afraid your time has come."

"Angel my darling, I know you well
And when I close my eyes, you always fuck off back to hell
If I can't see you then I'm the master of my own domain" -
The old man spits this at the angel
And drives back to his country residence
Where he lives like an apple in a freezer.

Back home at a dinner table longer than the space between Neptune and the Sun
He sits one end, his family the other
Chewing boiled potatoes slowly with the mere two teeth that he has
And hours later when he's finally finished his meal
He goes to the other end of the table and rips off all our clothes
And alas, it seems like I'm the naked fool who catches his eye.

He says - "Oh dear, it seems you have a disease
You've come down with painted nails and crazy straightened teeth
But you see, I'm very sympathetic to your sexuality."
So he has me down as doomed I suppose and
Grabs me by my neck
"Let's swap our places" he tells me, "me on earth and you in hell."

When suddenly my back doesn't feel too great
Bloody wings sprout from out my spine
My role as the angel of death assumed
The old man was so shocked that there and then he fell and died
Now I'm this beautiful angel
With a look so shocking, I kill!
