Jack POV:
I don't know what I was thinking. I just grabbed her, and kissed her.
I begin kissing her as if there was no tomorrow. She surprisingly kisses back, and puts her hand on my chest. I put her on my lap, deepening the kiss.
She suddenly pulls away. "Jack..." She says very softly.
"Yes baby?" I reply scared.
"I can't do this... I'm so sorry..." She says with tears in her eyes. She gets up, and slowly walks away after saying a soft goodbye.
I put my face in my hands, and cry. I cry out everything I've ever felt. I can't seem to stop. I grunt as I figure out what a big mistake I made. I finally make the decision to find her and apologize.
Caroline POV:
As I drive, I begin feeling bad. I wish I hadn't ever stopped kissing him, I honestly did love him. But, I knew if I stayed with him I'd break him.
I walk into my surprisingly quiet home after the silent drive. I looks around, and Darla is no where in sight.
Suddenly, I see her come out around the corner of the hallway, with something shiny between her lips. She runs up to me, and pulls the object from her lips. I find out it's a blade as she begins attacking me with it.
Pure panic rushes through me. I cry out at the pain of her cutting long slits along my skin. Blood stains my clothing, as well as Darla's. I begin begging for her to stop, but she doesn't.
Someone knocks on the door, and I scream trying to get attention. The door bursts open, and I see Jack come through.
He finds Darla attacking me, and runs over. He pulls her off and has to strangle her to drop the blade. When she finally does, he drops her and picks me up bridal style. He runs out the door with me, sprinting away to wherever our next destination is. Darla didn't follow us, fortunately.
I cry into his chest as he begins walking. He gives me a kiss on the forehead, and whispers into my ear "It's going to be alright care bear. I have you, you're safe".
