Neighbour?

Suddenly, my ankle got hurt with the bed and I was about to fall.
"Aaa", I yelled and Riyaz caught me by my waist and pulled me closer. My hands were on his shoulder and I was looking at him from the corner of my eye.
"You okay?", he asked genuinely. I nodded and stepped back.

"Yeh mere phone mein Wi-Fi kyu nahi aa raha itne din se", I complained to myself while laying on bed beside Riyaz.
"Laao do. Mai connect kar ke deta hoon", he said while forwarding his hand.
"Connect karke deta hoon se kya matlab? Mere paas already tha na", I said him in a confused way and handed him the phone.
"Woh actually, tumhara exam tha na toh islye maine disconnect kar diya tha", he exclaimed.
"Haww. Exam tha mera koyi cooking class nahi jo mai isme se cheat karungi", I bursted at him.
"Cheat nahi pagli. Distraction hai phone bhi ek tarah ka", he explained me.
"Mere liye toh sabse bada distraction aap hee hai", I said in a way of sarcasm and snatched my phone from his hand.

Rii's POV

Mai aur distraction? Mmm... Kuch kuch ho raha hai shayad yn ko bhi but batayegi nahi kyuki uski height se zyada toh ego hai. Usko khud nahi pata kya bolti hai aur usko farak bhi nahi padta agar samne wala uska ghalat meaning nikaal le. She is like, mai jo bolti hoon seedhe bolti hoon aur agar kisi ko meri baat samajh nahi aati then that isn't my problem. Jo bhi ho, hai toh realisitic. Atleast, two faced toh nahi hai.

The next morning,

I applied face wash and opened the tap but there was no water available.

"Yn, paani nahi aa raha hai. Bahar dekho kuch problem huyi hai kya", I yelled from the bathroom.

"Ji, dekhti hoon", yn's voice came.

"10 minutes hogaye aur yeh abhi tak nahi aayi", I said to myself and finally after trying so hard, I reached my room. My eyes were still closed.

"Yn?", I called but there was no response. Suddenly, someone threw water on my face and I washed it. I looked at the person and my eyes widened in shock.
"Rii", she said and was about to hug me but I stepped back. Water was on the floor and it became slippery. I stepped on that place and fell down, the girl tried to help me but also fell upon me.
"Riyaz. Yeh leejiye paani....", yn entered carrying a jug and saw both of us in that position.

Yaar pakka ab yeh ghalat samajh legi aur yahan se chali jayegi. Please God bacha lo iss baar.

"Riyaz aap theek toh hai na?", she said and came near me. She helped me get back and rubbed my shirt so the dust can come out but in vain.

"Yeh toh kharab ho chuki hai. Koyi baat nahi. Aap breakfast kar leejiye, mai doosri iron kar deti hoon", she said with a smile.

A fake cough disturbed us.

"Mai bhi hoon yahan Riyaz and yn", the girl said.
"Hi. Par aap hai kaun? Mai aapko nahi jaanti. Shayad aap humare neighbourhood mein new aayi hai. Aap neeche wait karo. Mai aapko baaki society walo se milwati hoon", yn replied.
"Actually yn. Yeh meri cousin hai. Kashi. Iski studies ki wajah se humari wedding nahi attend kar paayi", I explained yn.
"Oh. Hi. I'm yn. Mrs. Yn Aly", yn said with pride. I was little shocked.
"You both please go and have breakfast", yn gestured towards the door. I nodded and was about to leave but Kashi whispered, "Riyaz tumne yn se shaadi kyu kee. I mean, just look at her. Usne pehle toh meri itni insult kee aur fir sorry bhi nahi bola".
"Kyu bolu mai sorry?", yn said from back. Yeah she heard our conversation.
"Tum mere husband ki baaho'n mein baahein daal kar thi. Tumne kaha tha kya sorry? Dusro'n par ungli uthaane se pehle, apne girebaan mein jhaank kar dekh lena ek baar. Aur ab Riyaz sirf tumhara cousin nahi, mere husband hai so please bina knock kiye andar mat aana and maintain distance", she said with attitude. Kashi glared at me and left.
"Meri yn. Tujhe baar baar yeh Patni Roop dikhana zaruri hota hai kya?", I asked in a irritated way.
"Logon ko apni hadh mein rakhne ke liye, yeh zaruri hee hai. Aap pe koyi bhi dore daalenge toh mai chup chap dekhti rahoon kya?", she said while coming closer. She held my tie and pulled my face closer to hers and said, "Aap mere hai aur mai aapki. Beech mein koyi bhi nahi aa sakta", she said in a tight voice and stepped back. I smiled at it and left.

The whole day in office, I was just smiling like an idiot. Suddenly, yn came in front of me in a secretary avatar. I got up from my chair and looked at her with shock. She handed me some files and was about to go but I held her wrist.
"Agar jaana hee tha toh aayi kyu?", I asked.
"Sir? What are you talking about?", a voice made me come back to senses. I looked at the girl whose wrist I was holding. I assumed her to be yn but actually she is my secretary. I left her hand with a jerk. She exited my cabin.
I rubbed my neck bone while blushing and thinking about yn.
