CHAPTER 9

     »See? I told you.« Woonggi nodded at Jerome with his arms crossed in front of his chest.

»This has nothing to do with an injury!« Jeyou moved his arms all over the place at the ridiculous statement as Jaeyun suddenly shushed them.

»Guys, please be quiet for a second.« Chihoon added without sparing a glance.

»This is literally an amusement park. The music and people are 1000 times louder.« Woonggi said while walking away to get some water for Jerome from a shop nearby.

»I'm fine! I'm getting better anyway, thanks to you all.« Jerome smiled at his group of friends. He tried to hide his sick condition with a bright smile but failed only a few seconds later. His body felt like he twirled a thousand times at high speed. At that moment, he was lucky he didn't eat much before riding the ferris wheel, otherwise he would've thrown it up already.

Jeyou was leaning onto a lantern a few meters away from the bench and observed Donggeon standing next to Chan, planning to go on another roller coaster together. A small smile escaped his lips as he thankfully nodded at Donggeon when their eyes met. Donggeon just lifted a thumb up and smiled back at him as they started to walk away.

»We will be back right away. Jerome, make sure to get better!« Chan announced. The other's just nodded partially, but were mostly busy with trying to find an infirmary or any medicine for Jerome that could help. Usually, there always was an emergency room located near the restrooms, but they were too far away from their current location. Jerome wasn't able to walk that far in this condition. Jeyou approached Jerome to sit down next to him and started caressing his shoulder.

»Do you feel better? Would you rather like to leave?« Jeyou asked seriously as he looked into his tired eyes. He didn't answer for a few seconds and just stared back at Jeyou with a blank look. His cheerfulness was clouded over.

»You are too tired...« Jeyou tried to get Jerome's attention, but it was obvious what kind of effect the ferris wheel had on him. He had to admit that three loops were too many for this kind of attraction. Especially for people who get dizzy easily.

»Chihoon hyung, should we bring Jerome back home?« Jeyou asked as he approached Chihoon, who was talking to Woonggi.

»Yeah, I feel like we really should. Let's get the others and leave. Does somebody know if anyone is home to take care of him?« He answered worriedly while looking at Jerome sitting on the bench, sipping on a bottle of water constantly.

They were reaching the parking lot and parted ways, since they parked their cars further away from each other. Jaeyun, Chan, Donggeon and Jisu said goodbye and wished Jerome to get better quickly as they drove past them with opened windows.

»Let's do this again sometime.« Chan said and started waving at them from the backseat.

»Sure! It was so fun! But next time, no ferris wheel for Jerome.« Woonggi exclaimed.
Jeyou opened the door for Jerome and helped him to sit down at the front seat, so he wouldn't get sick. Woonggi let himself fall on the backseat behind Chihoon and gave Jeyou an awkward stare as he sat down next to him.

»The ferris wheel was your idea!« Jeyou whispered and drilled his finger into Woonggi's shoulder.

»I can't control his body! I didn't know he would get dizzy.« He whispered back quietly. »He usually isn't afraid of heights and doesn't get dizzy easily.« He added while looking at the rear mirror. He saw Chihoon's eyes fixed on both of them while he hit the main road.

»Why are you whispering? I can literally hear you.« Chihoon said calmly and stretched his arm out to the seat next to him. »He's sleeping like a stone.« He said nonchalantly while pointing at Jerome.
