Samantha's P.O.V

I've never really put much thought on my true feelings towards Ilya until today. It was my first night back home, I watched as my mother and father laughed at his stupid jokes. All my brothers seemed to like him and he seemed to like all of them.

His toothy smile never left his face, even when my mom forced him to eat three plates of food plus dessert. His parents weren't in town as always and David's parents had forced him to spend his first night back at their house.

Ilya had decided to stay with me until I went back home. I couldn't help but feel like something was missing. I tried my best to focus on whatever we were doing, but I couldn't help to look out the window every chance I got.

Being back home brought up a lot of mixed feelings for me. Being back home made my head flood with memories of David and I.

"Are you okay babe?" Ilya asked as my mom began to set up a game of Jenga.

"I'm fine, just a bit tired from flying." I smiled weakly, pecking his cheek.

He smiled as he laid his head on my shoulder. I wrapped my arm around his head and sighed. How could I ever hurt this boy.

"You guys are so lame." My brother Jayden groaned, walking in while eating an apple.

"Says the one eating a rotten apple." Ilya laughed, interlocking his fingers with mine.

"Wha-" before he could finish he saw the mushy brown spot on the otherwise perfect  apple.

"That's why you have to wash and check things before you buy them." My mom said, smacking his head.

"Ow." He groaned, rubbing his head.

I laughed as they began to bicker over who bought the apple. Ilya looked up at me as I looked at the scene in front of us.

"What?" I asked, looking down at him.

"Your dimples are adorable." He grinned.

"Your smile is adorable." I grinned back, laying my head on his.

"Are you guys gonna play or am I gonna build houses with the blocks?" My dad said, wrapping his arms around my mom.

"No no no. You always loose the blocks." She replied, swatting him away.

"Lets goooo." Jacob yelled, randomly pulling out a piece and sitting in between Ilya and me.

Jayden walked back in with a new apple with my other brother Anthony.

Ilya pulled a piece and smirked. I watched as my dad lightly touched a piece, causing the whole tower to come crashing down.

"OW." My mom yelled as a few pieces landed on her.

"How did that even happen?!" My dad said, his jaw hanging low.

My mom helped him reconstruct the tower while my brothers fought with Ilya. I sat quietly giggling as they decided to gang up on Ilya.

"If you make it fall on me one more time you're not getting tamales tomorrow." My mom pointed to Ilya, giving him the stink eye.

"Last round was an accident, I promise I won't let it happen again." Ilya swore, throwing his hands up on defense.

"He could have my tamales." I said, wrapping my arms around him protectively and pecking his temple.

"You'd give me your tamales?" He said, looking up at me.

"And my arroz con leche too." I smiled down at him.
