Chapter Eight: A Pleasant Surprise

You gaze into Leon's eyes as you feel your stomach twist in knots. You were not sure how to reply to him as he embraces you into his arms. He kisses your left ear, which causes you to lightly moan against his ear. He then muffles a laugh then let's go of you. He then looks at you again and then nudges his face onto your long H/C hair.

Without saying anything, Leon holds your hand, intertwining it with his. You blush as you feel your blood running to your brain, causing you to feel dizzy. You look up to the sky and the sun slowly setting, causing the blue horizon to change to orange, auburn, yellow, and red. You feel your head starting to hurt. Leon looks at you and stops, allowing you time to rest.

"Are you remembering something?" Leon softly speaks as he leans his forehead against yours.

Past memories start to flood into your mind, and most of them were of Leon. The happy-go-lucky days of Leon always being there for you and the first time you met him. You cover your mouth trying not to grin as you hear the many people laughing around the two of you.

"Yeah...and it looks like you loved me back then." You look deep into his eyes smiling, which causes Leon to smile in return.

Your stomach growls as you point towards a cute Eevee café. The two of you walk in and, to your surprise, you see Raihan laughing with another girl sitting in a table. You try to avoid Raihan's gaze and cling onto Leon's arm who seems to be doing the same.

You could not help but look and see that the girl Raihan was with looked like a super model; long black hair with a single highlight, she wore a casual outfit with a blue cap to match her blue attire. Her aquamarine eyes keep direct contact with Raihan and the two seem to be enjoying their time.

"Leon, who is that?"

"Oh, that is Nessa, the Water Gym leader. She's pretty tough, but not as tough as Raihan. She's the second gym most new trainers face." Leon remarks praising her.

"She looks beautiful..." You look down to your outfit and feel plain. You take pride in how you look because of your job, but then you feel Leon's index finger on your chin.

"You're just as beautiful, if not even more. C'mon, we have our seat." You blush then lean your head on Leon's shoulder.

To your surprise, the booth Leon picked out is a giant Eevee with its evolutions. You look around and see that the café is being served between Jolteon, Vaporeon and Flareon while the owner cooks in the back. You sit across from Leon and grin from ear to ear; the atmosphere is pleasant as many people take photos of the three famous Eevee evolutions.

A shy Leafeon approaches the table to greet you.

"Leaf!"

"Oh, how cute! You remind me of Blade back home!" You gently pet the Leafeon as it bows.

"Blade?" Leon asks with a worried look on his face.

You lift both your hands up and shake your head, "Don't get weird ideas, Blade is my Leafeon back home with Professor Juniper!"

Leon smiles and giggles at your explanation.

'Why did I explain it like that?! We're not dating or anything...'

Leon laughs as if he knew you would be ordering the dish the moment he saw it on the menu. He then tells Leafeon his order and Leafeon leaps with joy. Leon orders the Sylveon Custard Slice with a good assortment of desserts with Sylveon as the main theme then orders a Liligant Floral tea for both you and him.
