It was a very special day for the Kwak couples. The 7th birthday of their only son, Dawit. They have made a promise to bring Dawit to his favourite theme park, DucksieLand.
"Dawit, are you ready?" Mrs Kwak looking towards the back seat where her son was seated in. "Yes, mom!" Dawit giggled cheerfully, putting on his seatbelt and swinging his legs.
Along the way, he would sing his favourite song while his eyes sparkled when observing the scenery they passed by. His dad would occasionally glance at the rear mirror to check on him. "I can see that you're excited, son". " Of course, dad. I always wanted to go to DucksieLand" the parents laughed at his antics.
Everything went well until the car in front of them suddenly spins due to lost control of the vehicle, resulting in it to collided with theirs. Mr Kwak did a drastic turn to the left, trying to avoid the spinning car–
but to no avail.

Dawit opened his eyes. He felt his whole body was numb. He tried to reach for his parents, trying to call their names. His father was slumped over the steering wheel but didn't move even a bit. He reached to his mother, shaking her body. His eyes widen when he saw a thick red liquid slowly dripping down from his mother's forehead, automatically retreat his now shaking hands. He felt light-headed, ears started to ring before his sight slowly be eaten by darkness.
The condition of the car was very terrible, to say the least. The front of the car crashed into the road dividers. The front mirror was shattered, glass was scattered everywhere near the scene. People started to step into the scene, checking if there are any survivors. The chance to have any survivors were low since the impact that the car took was powerful.
"Hurry! Someone call the ambulance!"
"There's a kid inside! Get him out first!"
"He's still breathing! Bring him to be hospital!"
"Poor little kid..."

— After months —
The poor little kid was sent to an orphanage since none of his relatives took him home after he was discharged from the hospital.
The creaking sound of the doors was quite loud and shocking. But it didn't make the child budge even an inch. His eyes were still glued to the window. A woman came into the room along with chocolate cookies and a bottle of milk in a dish. A sad smile plastered on her face as if she understands the terrible feeling of the boy.
"Dawit–"
"Why do people hate me, Ashley?"
The said woman neared the child who is now facing her, pulling him softly into a hug. Dawit slowly let his tears fall, damping the apron worn by Ashley with his tears. After hearing soft sobs released from the boy, Ashley separates themselves to wipe tears that remain on the child's cheeks.
Ashley was about to answer the little one's question, the door was burst open by the other kids. "Ashley, Miss Lilian was looking for you. She wants to have a word with you in her office" said one of the kids, Jill before pulling her hand to bring her to the office. Ashley knew what would happen after she left Dawit's room. She wanted to tell the other kids to left the room, only to be pushed from behind by two kids, leaving Dawit with the others.
Dawit wasn't scared of being left alone with the other kids. He never felt scared. He has seen his parents die in front of him, why would he be scared with kids bullying him?
"Why Ashley always to be seen with you? She's not your servant you know" the boy named Ben stood in front of him, hands cross. Dawit didn't answer, keeping his head down.
"She's the only one who treats me like a human being. Not like you guys" Dawit sends a glare before pushes past the kids, going to the playground beside the orphanage.
This had been happening for quite some time since he first entered the orphanage. The orphanage was already packed with kids, but the caretakers wanted to show their kindness to the public, took Dawit under their care. But they never treat the boy kindly. The boy would be given food once a day then being lock in his room for the rest of the day by the caretakers. Ashley wasn't one of them. She always treats him kindly, sneaking cookies and snacks for the boy. The children. Let's just say they are little shits that treated the boy like some kind of alien and making his life a living hell.
But today he had enough. He's tired to be treated like a stray cat, always got neglected by the cruel world. "Today's the day. I'm sick living in this place". He sits on one of the swings, slowly swinging it back and forth while his thoughts are busy thinking about what's going to happen tonight.
– That night –
It was past 12 by now. All the children in the orphanage had been tucked to bed. Well, except for one.
Right after Ashley came out of the room, He opened his eyes. His both cute eyes scanning all around the room, making sure all the kids are sleeping.
His gaze stopped at the bed in front of him. It was Ben's bed.
The kid that Dawit hated the most.
Since day one he had been sent here, the brown-haired kid hadn't been anything but mean to him. He never treated Dawit like he treated all acquaintances.
Ben ever stumbled his foot while he carrying his dish full of food. He didn't get any food that day because of the accident. As the worst result, he just got food for the quarter part of the plate.
"Why would I give you more? You will waste the food like that day"
Not to mention the other day where Ben locked him up in the toilet for almost five hours because Dawit unintentionally kicked a ball at him and hit his knee.
A creepy smile was plastered on his face. He's gonna end up everything tonight. He took out a box of matches from his pocket. The soft creaking sound of the wooden floor was barely heard by the kids who were in deep slumber.
Dawit made his way out of the house and stand in the backyard. He observed the hell-like place for the last time. He lit up the matches and threw them to the mighty old tree beside the orphanage.
Soon the tree fell right on the house, causing it to burn. He smiled before run away far into the woods.
