It had been breems since the explosion and Starscream still hadn't awoken. Knockout was checking his vital and processor waves to make sure there wasn't too much internal damage. Breakdown was cleaning the medbay. The waves were investigating Starscream's experiment. And everyone was doing their daily business...all except one. Megatron was still in his quarters. It was all in shambles. He was sitting on his birth which was racked in claw marks and dents from his tantrum. His digits were laced together and his elbows were on his knees. They weren't exactly supporting his head, but he was leaning against them. His optics were shut as he contemplated his anger being taken out in his room with one word spinning in his processor: why?
Why is he so mad about what happened to Starscream? Is it because he could've blown up the Nemesis? Megatron did not know. Megatron perked up when he got a comm from Knockout, luckily he was alone so no one would see this rare emotion. :Knockout! What's Starscream's status?:
:That's just what I was going to tell you, my Lord. Starscream has healed well and should wake up in a couple of breems, though I do have my worries about his processor:
Megatron stood from his birth. :What's wrong with his processor?:
:I don't know, it's just the results that have me worried about it. They are wavering all over the place, almost like it was having trouble deciding something:
Megatron sighed. It wasn't anything major, good. That meant he would get his punching bag back. That was why he was happy...right? :Alright, be sure to comm me when he awakens:
:Of course sir: Then the commlink was cut. Megatron sighed again before making his way to the bridge to order random 'cons around.
In the medbay, Knockout was polishing himself when the comm call finished. He was bored and didn't want to wait for breems until Starscream woke and wanted something to do. Fortunately, he didn't have to wait long. Soft groaning sounds emanated from behind Knockout. He whipped around and saw Starscream stirring. He rushed to his patient's side and began detaching the multiple tubes from him. Once he was done he waited for Starscream to open his optics. Starscream eventually did but quickly shut them because of the light.
"Take it easy," a voice said. 'Who is that?' "Try opening your optics again. They'll adjust eventually." Starscream slowly opened his optics again. Once they were fully adjusted he saw a red Aston Martin standing beside him. "There ya go! Welcome back to the land of the living, Commander Starscream." Starscream was confused. Commander? He wasn't a commander he was a scientist. He slowly sat up and looked around. It seemed he was in a medbay, but he wasn't familiar with the room nor the mech beside him. "What's wrong, Screamer? Do you feel like you should be dead?" the red mech laughed but Starscream made no comment and just stared. The mech's laughter died down. "What? Something on my faceplate or something?"
Starscream was silent for a moment. "Um, how...how do you know my name?..." the mech's emotion turned into shock in a nanosecond but he put on a smile as if he just heard a bad joke but doesn't want to be rude.
"Haha, very funny, Starscream. You almost had me there!" Starscream quirked a brow-ridge.
"I'm not trying to be funny. I don't know who you are or where I am..." the mech stopped smiling. He rushed to a console and brought up some processor wave scans. Starscream guessed they were his. The mech covered his mouth plates almost like he realized something. He took a deep breath then walked back to Starscream with a smile on his faceplates, a genuine one. Once he was by Starscream's side again he held out his servo.
"I should introduce myself. I'm Knockout, I'm the medic on the Nemesis." Starscream smiled himself and took his servo.
"Nice to meet you, Knockout. May I say you have an interesting paint job on your arms?" Knockout smiled.
"Thanks! But I should tell you how I know your name..."
