The first 3 periods were already over. It was time for mana training class. Professor Hailey was teaching Charlotte's class.
"Hello students, I'm Professor Hailey. You guys can just call me Miss Hailey. I'm your mana training instructor. Since it's the first day of training. I shall test your mana level and assign your ranks."
"As you can see here, beside me is a magic ball which will display your mana level."
The students line up and put their palms on the magic ball, Charlotte was last in line.
Low: <25 Rank: C
Medium: 26-75 Rank: B
High: 76-100 Rank: A
Huston got a mana level of 70 which was pretty high for average people. On average people's mana levels were around 65 or so.
It was finally Charlotte's turn. She placed her palm on the magic ball and it exploded.
As expected.
"Woah! You're the second person to ever explode a magic ball."
"Huh? Who's the first?"
"I think his name was Ain or something."
"Oh."

"I have all assigned you your ranks, here are your ranking badges. You can increase your mana by consuming a mana stone which is very rare."
"As for you Charlotte, I never thought I'd have to give the 'unknown' badge to anyone else other than Ain but here you go."
"Mm thanks."
The "unknown" badge was in a shield like form with a question mark on it.
Nice.
"Ah, we have an hour left of class. I'll teach you how to use first level magic first. Please stand your grounds."
Miss Hailey snapped her fingers and a pile of hay appeared in front of each student.
"As you can see, there's a pile of hay in front of you. I'll teach you all how to use fire energy and growth energy."
A flame appears on Miss Hailey's hand and burns the hay.
The students let out a 'woah' sound.
"Let's start with fire energy shall we?"
"First, imagine the amount of energy you want to let out. If you let out too much your mana will rapidly decrease within a few seconds and you will faint from exhaustion. Of course your mana recharges once you get enough rest, you should only use your maximum mana when your in an emergency."
"Charlotte, please demonstrate."
"Got it."
A medium sized ball of flame appeared on Charlotte's palm and she threw it at her hay. It burned and turned into ashes.
"Great work! Now, everyone do what Charlotte did."
All the students have passed the first trial, now it was time to use growth energy.
