Gauri was your normal typical desi girl  who was studying MBBS in West Bengal and is a loyal devotee of Lord Krishna and Shrimati Radharani. She lived in a hostel with 2 other girls Mia and Saniya who grew to be my bestfriends who supported her in her best and worst.

One day Gauri received a sudden letter from her mother notifying her of her cousin's marriage which was to take place in Vrindavan. She wasn't a big fan of those aunties who would ofcourse attend the wedding with a way over SiMpLe makeup with tons of powder, thick black kajal, red lipstick and tomato like cheeks while bashing her for wearing neutral makeup which only including doing the eyebrows, a little concealer, highlighter and a lip gloss.

But after reading the venue she quickly kicked out her suitcase packing it with her life luggage. "Hey! Hey! You are going only for few days not for your whole life." Mia says taking out the thick winter coat as it was summer. "Who knows what might happen? A landslide which will trap me there for a month? year? Or years?" Gauri says making them chuckle. "That is highly unlikely. Its summer." Saniya says.  After much persuasion failure Mia and Saniya locked Gauri in the bathroom and packed her necessities enough for a week.

Gauri then took her leave immediately after saying goodbye hurriedly to her friends as she had to catch her flight  the same day. As soon as she landed she spotted her mother waiting for her and jumped in her arms.

"Oh my! You have grown heavier!" her mother says offending Gauri making her chuckle by her daughter's reaction. "Let's go. Sharmila bhabhi and the rest are waiting in the cab." her mother says making her frown.

"Besharam auntie? And the rest?" Gauri frown. "I know how you feel about them but tolerate it for today." her mother says. "But you know them mumma. Especially Besharam auntie she has been cornering you ever since papa's death. No matter what you do she always finds a flaw she even has problem with you and me breathing." Gauri says.

"Now! Don't speak such ill words about your auntie. No matter what she is your auntie, your father's sister. Respect her and swallow everything she says just till we reach Vrindavan. After that I will take you to somewhere special." her mother says.

"That's called telling the truth not talking ill and what if she is papa's sister? Does that give her to bash you and my existence? Has she ever done anything good in her fat lifespan? Did she even call when father was sick? Did she ever contact papa genuinely but not for money? She always calls you names." Gauri says.

"But that doesn't mean you will disrespect her and what if she calls me names? Nothing, it doesn't matter to me because I know that all those rumors are false. Just because she says doesn't mean its the truth and you know her she has a habit of backbiting about everybody. Ignore her." her mother says.

"Okay.. just because you say I will IGNORE her." Gauri says and moves towards the cab. "I didn't mean IGNORE her, I meant her words! It will be rude beta." her mother follows her. "Ohh~ Gauri! Oh my you have gotten fatter than the last time I saw you." Sharmila auntie opens her mouth as soon as Gauri opens the door.

"So have you auntie..." Gauri says. "You looked so unhealthily thin the last time I saw you. Its good to see that you have gained weight." Gauri adds later. "Fat? She has gotten thinner Sharmila." Sachi says. "What insult is she going to attach now?" Gauri thinks.

"Do they not feed you enough back in university? If so then what is the benefit of sending our daughter to such a place and waste her father's money? Instead-" "You too look thinner auntie! What kind of diet are you following?" Gauri asks. "O-oh! Me! Nothing, I was thin ever since." Sachi laughs.

"If so then start eating! Or people will think uncle abuses you! You look like a starved street dog! No even worse! Even their bones aren't this exposed." Gauri says halting Sachi's laughter earning a snort from Sharmila. Sharmila leans to her other group to say something either about Gauri or Sachi when Gauri's mother interrupts.
