Chapter 4: The Docks

As doctor d (Cassidy's new nickname for the man) applied a new bandage on her head, the door to the office opened.

Sarah Cameron's hoarse voice echoed through the small room when she asked, "Why aren't we leaving? We need to make it to the dock."

John B's head snapped towards the girl, gaping at her he responded, "Ok Sarah I get that you want to go, but you just got shot, you need rest."

"Sarah babe, its over." Cassidy says with a comforting tone.

The blonde glares at her, "YOU BITCH!," she screams, causing Cassidy to flinch, "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU, I SAVED YOUR LIFE, TWICE, AND YOU GET ME SHOT!"

Cassidy furrows her eyebrows, clearly confused, "How did I cause YOU to get shot." The girl shoots back.

Just as it looks like Sarah was going to go in for a slap, John B steps in front of her.

"Sarah, please, if we want to try and make it to the dock we can't sit here and fight."

Sarah backs down nodding at the boy. The couple exits the room and Cassidy gets up to follow them.

Something gets shoved into her hand, she realizes its keys and she looks up at the face of doctor d.

"Doctor D," the girl says in an almost sad tone, "thank you." Cassidy smiles at the man and watches as a single tear falls from his eye.

"No Cassidy, thank you, you remind me of my daughter, and you are by far, my favorite patient." The man says while ushering her out the door.

"Hey kids," he shouts after them, "be safe."

Cassidy gets in the driver's seat, John B in the passengers, and Sarah in the back.

Bang

Cassidy flinches at the sound but continues to drive nonetheless. Nothing will get in her way of getting the hell out of Nassau.

Except maybe no boat.

As she pulled up to the docks she saw Terrance on the ground and Stubbs floating in the water. Her eyes fill with tears and she hops out of the car. Giving the keys to John B she tells him to drive around town and meet her back at the docks.

The girl grabbed the hand of the man on the ground, "Cap'n T.." Tears threatened to trickle down her face. When his eyes fluttered open the girl's body filled up with hope, "Find...Cleo." Terrance whispered.

"I will T' I will, I promise." After the girl spoke those words she felt the man's hand go limp on her own, that's when she finally let her tears fall. Once they started they didn't stop. She didn't care. The only thing she cared about was Cleo. The brunette stood up and started running. She ran as fast as her tears fell. Ignoring the shouts of cars she ran in front of. Ignoring everything except looking for her only friend.

She looked everywhere, but she knew if she didn't make it back to the docks in time she would never get out of the Bahamas. John B and Sarah would leave without her, and she would be stuck in this horrid place she called home.

"I'm sorry Terry..." the girl whispered looking up to the skies.

As she reached the docks she couldn't believe what she saw.

Well who she saw.

"CLEE?? NO WAY, NO FUCKING WAY." Cassidy shouted out, tears still trickling down her face.

Cleo turned as the brunette wrapped her arms around her. Once they pulled out of the embrace Cleo noticed the tears on her friend's face.

"Cici? What's wrong baby?"

"Terry...Stubbs..they're gone." she whispered through her tears.

Cleo's face immediately fell, "Th-their gone?" she asked stunned as her own tears began to fall.

"I'm so sorry Cleo, I really am. They were here when I left, Terry told me to find you. Someone must have taken them, or um..threw them in." Cassidy says the last part quietly, but Cleo's breath still hitches.

Just then John B and Sarah pull up and hop out of the car.

"All right let's hijack this bitch." Sarah says excitedly.

"No need, I've still got the keys to your dad's boat." Cleo responds, but still looks grim.

"Even better," but she notices Cleo and Cassidy's fallen expressions, "What is it? I-Is something wrong.?"

"Its Terry and-" Before Cassidy could finish police sirens blared through the streets getting closer by the second.

"Shit. Coppers, get in, all three of you. I wasn't planning on coming anyway. I'll stall them for as long as I can," looking at Cassidy she kissed her on the cheek, "I love you Cici, be safe, all of you.

"Clee...please..I can't lose you..not now."

"You can't get rid of me that easily, don't worry C I'll see you again." The girl reassures the brunette before turning towards the cops.

Cassidy doesn't dare move, shocked in place. Her best friend was gone. Cassidy ignored the sounds of John B and Sarah trying to tell her to get into the boat. Tears were streaming down her face as John B pulled her into the boat. Cassidy plays with the bracelet on her wrist, the one Cleo gave to her last year for her birthday. She was sitting on a boat and driving away from her best friend. Cassidy let a deafening scream exit her lungs as John B pulled the boat away from the docks.

She feels a hand on her back, causing Cassidy to look up. She sees Sarah sitting next to her, teary eyed. "I know how it feels, to leave the one thing you love." Sarah whispers hoarsely. Cassidy melts into Sarah's shoulder, crying herself to sleep in the girl's arms. But just before she does, she hears Sarah whisper "I'm sorry," and a small smile tugs on the brunette's face.

Cassidy wakes up to the sound of Sarah's voice, "By the power vested in me..by the stars, the sky...and the sea. I now pronounce us, husband and wife." Cassidy smiles to herself but stays put. She wouldn't want to ruin such a romantic moment. So she drowns out all other sounds except the ocean, falling back into a calming sleep.

The next time she wakes up it's from Sarah shaking her.

"What the fuck Sarah, I'm trying to sleep here." That earns her a smack on the head and a chuckle escapes Cassidy's lips.

"Get up asshole, we have reached Charleston."

"Charleston? I thought we were heading for the Outer Banks." The girl says skeptically.

"Yeah well, we're running out of gas, so it's either this, or drowning in the middle of the ocean."

"I vote for drowning if it means I get more sleep," Cassidy says while slowly getting up.

John B anchors the boat and hops off grabbing the girls arms. "Come on, we get the gas and get out of here, no problem at all."

"What about money, that's a problem." The blonde states.

"Yeah John B, pretty big one honestly." Agrees Cassidy.

A/N

Whelp there is that chapter, they reached Charleston yay. There will start to be more stuff not from the show now, and finally Pope x Cassidy content. And i know this is like the fourth chapter but its already the fourth episode but like it should be fine. Ill take my time now that I can actually like have them hanging out and stuff. AND DONT WORRY MY OTHER OC'S WILL COME INTO THE STORY SOON!!
