Chapter 5.

This is stupid. Why did I want to become a ninja again? I saw that cats owner, I would've ran to. So now I'm stuck here trying to catch a cat because my Sensei keeps choosing stupid missions.

"Sasuke, I'm in point B."

"Sakura, I'm in point C."

...

...

...

"Naruto, I'm in Point A."

"Y/n, I'm in point.. D.. I think."

"You're slow Naruto, Y/n stop forgetting where you're supposed to be." I roll my eyes. "Okay Squad seven, THE TARGET HAS MOVED! Follow it!" Kakashi Sensei ordered. I ran following the "Target".

"Over there." Naruto pointed out. We moved quickly to not lose the cat. "What's your distance from the target?" Kakashi Sensei asked. "Five meters. I'm ready, just give the signal." Naruto asked. "I'm ready to." Sasuke chimed in, "So am I." Sakura said right after Sasuke. "I mean can't we just get another cat and let this one go?" I whine. "No [Y/n], no we can not." Kakashi Sensei answered to which I rolled my eyes.

"Alright then I'm ready.. I guess." I grumbled. "Okay.. NOW!" Kakashi sensei ordered to which we all jumped from our spots to catch the target. "I got him, I got him!" Naruto shouted. That poor boy. That cat better not scar Naruto's face, I don't want to deal with the crying.

The cats appearance furthered my reasoning as to why it ran away. I'd probably hate us for capturing it to.

"Now then, for squad seven's next mission we have several available tasks. Among them babysitting the count chiefs three year old, helping his wife to do the shopping, taking out potatoes." Oh hell no the only person I'll be helping with that kind of stuff is my own mother you old man.

"No! I wanna go on a real mission! Something challenging and exciting, not this little kids stuff! Come on old man!" Naruto yelled. I mean, I would be fine with a C rank mission, but I don't think I'd like the mission Naruto wants.

My world slowed. Naruto Uzumaki, if you ask for a harder mission I'll actually kill you. I will strangle you with my bare hands! Don't you dare!

"HOW DARE YOU," Oh shoot! I fell on the floor startled from Iruka Sensei yelling out of nowhere. "You're just a brand new genin with no experience! Like everyone else you start with simple missions to develop your skills and prove yourself!"

"Are you serious!? Babysitting is not a mission, just a stupid stupid-!" Naruto was cut off by his own yell as Kakashi sensei hit him over the head

Wait did no one notice I fell? What the heck? "Would you put a lid on it?" Kakashi Sensei asked. "Naruto it seems you don't understand the tasks you've been given." Both Naruto and I looked up at the third Hokage.

"Listen, Many different kinds of requests are sent into our village everyday, from babysittings to Assassinations. These quests are carefully analyzed and ranked from A-D. We Ninja are also ranked by abilities, Hokage, Jounin, Chunin, and Genin at the bottom. We at the highest level distribute the requests as missions and assign them to Ninjas who have abilities that suit the mission, and if the mission is successful the fee comes in from the client. Nevertheless, You guys have just became Genin... You are given D-rank assignments of course. Hm?"

The Hokage stopped talking though I only noticed because the side talking I heard ended. "Yesterday's lunch was pork-bone broth noodles, and I'm thinking Miso ramen today--" Naruto was cut off by the Hokage yelling. "SILENCE!" Kakashi muttered an apology for Naruto though I'm sure Naruto wasn't sorry himself.

"Man you always lecture me like you're my grandfather or something, but I'm not the little prankster you think I am!" I shake my head, knowing he very well was. "I'm a ninja now, and I want a ninja mission!" Naruto continued his yelling.

I have the biggest feeling that I won't be getting a good night's rest for a few days.

Iruka Sensei and the Hokage started laughing.. why are they laughing? "Naruto who wants to prove hes no longer a prankster but a former prankster wants a mission.. so be it." The Hokage said, my face pales. "Since you are so determined, I'll have you do a C-rank mission... You'll be bodyguards on a journey." The Hokage informed much to Narutos excitement. I have a terrible, terrible feeling. This is not going to end well. Not well at all.

Sorry for the short chapter I'm not using my laptop so this is hard to do properly. The next chapter will be longer :)
