CHAPTER 8: JINSHU

After their successful escape, they decided to move to the closest town in their vicinity to start up their life over again. Ethan then called a taxi. At first the taxi driver was suspicious of how they looked due to the remnants of bruises on their body. He then rejected to take them to the closest town. With time out of their side, they decided to give the taxi driver the entire money they had. Due to this huge offer presented to the taxi driver, he agreed to take them. They both got into the vehicle and their journey started.

With a time frame of about 30 minutes, they arrived at their location. The name of the town they arrived at is called "Burumu chiku". They got out of the car with a smile on their faces. The catalyst of that smile was due to how large and advanced the city was. Even the atmosphere was bright and blooming vividly. ABU-BAKR then interrupted their moment by telling Ethan that they have to look for a place to stay and lay low. Due to them having no money, they decided that the best option is to look for an orphanage. With zero idea of where their current location was, they asked someone for directions to the closest orphanage. After figuring out the location, they progressed. As they were walking towards the orphanage, they noticed a lot of shady people that emit bad aura. All of a sudden someone started approaching the two. With his foresight still active, ABU-BAKR was able to predict danger which was about to befall on them.  Turns out the man that approaching them has the intention to stab ABU-BAKR and then steal his wallet afterwards. As the man approached ABU-BAKR, he reached out for his pocket knife just to see ABU-BAKR and Ethan surrendering and handing over their wallets willingly. Not knowing that both of the wallets had nothing in them, the man was running away while rejoicing.

After giving the two a huge distance gap, he decided to open the wallet just to end up seeing a sheet of paper with "SIKE YOU THOUGHT" written on it. This prank made the petty thief feel like a fool and swore that next time he encounters the pair, he will kill them. When that mini drama came to a halt, the two arrived at the orphanage. As they were heading towards the entrance, a man prevented them. ABU-BAKR then asked why the halt? The man replied by saying "the both of you look shady and new in this town. To top it all off, the bruises you both have o your body screams that you are bad news. I cannot let such influences around the accommodators of this orphanage". ABU-BAKR then told the man that he wants to stay in the orphanage because he has no parents and family members that he knows of. After hearing him out, the man agreed to accept ABU-BAKR as one of his own. As he was filling up the orphanage's paper work, Ethan asked the man if he can lend him his phone. When the man questioned his actions, Ethan told him that he wants to call his parents and find out if they are alive. With all that said, the man gave Ethan his phone. Ethan then dialed his father's number who ended up picking the call. Hearing his father's voice for the first time in months brought tears into his eyes.

As he was done confirming his parent's status, he decided to head home. He then told ABU-BAKR his goodbyes and the dynamic duo split. The two told each other farewell as if it was the last time they will ever see each other not knowing that a certain event will make the two reunite in the future again. When Ethan left, someone called the man. All of a sudden, his facial expression changed towards ABU-BAKR. As ABU-BAKR was trying to figure out why his facial expression changed, the man reached out to a button that was underneath his counter and he pressed it. That led to the building going on lockdown. Metallic doors closed all the entrances and exits of the orphanage. As ABU-BAKR was trying to figure out what was going on, the man used that window as an opportunity to attack a distracted ABU-BAKR with his two daggers. When he approached ABU-BAKR swiftly, he swung the dagger on his left hand towards ABU-BAKR'S neck so as to decapitate him. He swung it so fast that an average person would die before noticing that their head has been cut off. But today that wasn't the case with ABU-BAKR because he activated his foresight right from the beginning when he met the man. Turns out, he suspected the man right from the very first time they met due to his body language and speech tone.

ABU-BAKR then predicted the man's move and dodged it by leaning backwards. Immediately after that, he delivered a counter attack by tackling the man's leg which led to him falling down.  As he fell down, ABU-BAKR threw a fake punch towards his head so the man could dodge it. As the man dodged, that was the moment ABU-BAKR threw a number of consecutive punches towards his face. ABU-BAKR threw a fake punch intentionally because he predicted that if he had initially punched him head on, he would swing his head to the left so as to dodge it and at the same time use the dagger on his hand to stab his carotid sheet on his neck. As the man was losing consciousness due to amount of blows he was receiving, his eyes turned red and that event made the man over power ABU-BAKR. He kicked ABU-BAKR upwards. As ABU-BAKR was in midair about to fall, the man jumped towards him and kicked him hard towards the floor. The impact of ABU-BAKR falling down caused a little crater to form on the floor that cushioned him. An injured ABU-BAKR was struggling to get up and defend himself as the man approaches him. All of a sudden ABU-BAKR noticed that his regenerative abilities aren't working as they should. Instead of him to heal at a rapid pace, his condition ends up becoming way worst. ABU-BAKR then thought to himself that the only way his regenerative abilities won't work, is when his opponent's ability is to rapidly disintegrate every living cell and tissue in a person's body. So the more he makes contact with his opponent, the quicker the level of disintegration would be.

After his analyses, ABU-BAKR still had doubts about his hypothesis regarding the situation. So he decided to take a leap of faith by sacrificing his body to verify how the man's power works and also find a solution to it. Before doing that, ABU-BAKR with an unstable voice asked the man who he was and why he intends to kill him. The man replied by saying "my name is Onigiri and I do not owe a weak and impudent person any sort of explanation. You are not worth any grain of my time. Even speaking to you crushes me mentally you pest. I'd rather swim in a pool of hot lava than pay attention to a worthless rat that is about to be slaughtered by me. As weak as you are, I'm impressed. You are the first person that has ever stood still after receiving at least two of my direct blows. It shows that you are not an ordinary weakling. Rather you are a weakling with a huge potential. That potential will not matter anymore because, I am about to erase every grain of your molecular structure out of existence".

As Onigiri was talking, ABU-BAKR used that as an opportunity to charge forward and attack him with a bicycle kick. While approaching a distracted Onigiri to land his attack, in a split second Onigiri disappeared in his initial position just to appear behind a mobile ABU-BAKR and deliver a right kick to his upper abdomen. The pressure of the kick was so intense that it cracked a few of ABU-BAKR's ribs and afterwards created a shockwave which broke the wall that was supposed to cushion ABU-BARK's impact. A struggling ABU-BAKR was in so much pain after receiving such a fatal blow. But that didn't stop him from figuring out that there's a weakness to Onigiri's disintegrative abilities. The weakness he uncovered is that, whenever Onigiri lands a hit on his opponent, there is a moment when his degenerative abilities are rendered useless. So during that window of opportunity, Onigiri can receive a significant amount of damage after being hit by an opponent without affecting them with his degenerative abilities. To discover such window of opportunity is close to impossible due to his tense aura that overshadows everything about him. But that wasn't the case with ABU-BAKR because of his foresight which allows him to notice even the slightest change in the physique of a human and uses it to his advantage.

ABU-BAKR was struggling to move his body after receiving such a hit while at the same time, Onigiri approaches ABU-BAKR to land the finishing blow. ABU-BAKR then deliberately allowed Onigiri to stab a fatal organ in his body using a dagger. At that same moment he was getting stabbed by Onigiri, ABU-BAKR activated his foresight to uncover that window of opportunity he has been looking for. ABU-BAKR knew he was making a huge gamble with his life just to uncover a theory that isn't certain. Two seconds after activating his foresight, he saw that window of opportunity and he gave Onigiri a barrage of quick punches that broke not only his ribcage, but also his jaw. After successfully landing the attack, both ABU-BAKR and Onigiri fell down to the ground and blacked out.
