The young witch was dreading the next day, if the stares weren't enough of an indication of what was going to happen then she didn't know what was.
Huffing the teen got into bed as she had already got washed and into her pjs prior. As her rugged mattress consumed her dreams did too.The forest was dingy and foggy- but oddly calming to the young witch, like a second home. Creatures could be heard all around, rustling and bustling. Taking a breath the young witch felt her whole body rush of calmness, she felt and ease.
This all changed though, she felt a lump in her through as shadow approached in the mist. As the shadow cam into view the teen started to panic, she knew that man anywhere.
As her grandfather came into view her face contorted into disgust, his face was melting and his skull was emerging through the thick waxy skin.
"You will die... DIE! DIE! DIE!"
She shot up drenched in sweat panting profusely. The light shone through the thick, navy drapes that matched the night sky. As she turned her head she looked towards the nightstand, her eyes relaxed at the time, she had about twenty minutes until breakfast and about forty five minutes until lesson which meant she had plenty of time to get ready as she had no intention on attending breakfast.
After the witch had yet another shower due to the sweat, she got dressed in the usual Hogwarts attire but left out her robes. After gathering her books and packing her bag she glanced at the time seeing she had ten minutes, which gave her just enough time to go down to the hall grab her timetable and head to class.
Once she had spiralled down the tower Ariel was practically skipping down the halls, she was so happy to be able to work around the castle freely.
"Good morning Oscar, willow", the witch stated smiling brightly down at the sparrows that had come down to greet her, to which they tweeted back and perched on her shoulders.
"Shoo little birds I can't be seen with you, I wish I could but I can't, i'll come see you later though my little birds" she said smiling, giving them both a kiss before they flew off.As she arrived at the great hall she tiptoed in to avoid attention however that failed dramatically as as soon as she went two pairs of eyes on her. Rushing to the front she headed towards her head of house so that she could get her timetable and leave. Once she had gotten piece of paper the girl spun on her heals and headed out.
As turned onto the corridor she headed towards the dungeons as potions was her first lesson as she was walking two looming figures sandwiched the small girl.
"Look who we have here Freddie, a small little raven" One said.
"That we do Georgie, never seen her before, must be new?" The questioned even though it sounded more like a statement.
"Looks like it... What you name little raven?"The girl balled up a bit while walking but finally looked up at the boy who she guessed was George. He was strikingly handsome, sharp features, and a shaggy red mop that suited his overall rugged look- he was probably the most gorgeous man she had ever seen. Taking as much courage as she could gather she replied with a small "Aria" which made her recoil due to the fact she hated herself for being so timid.
The young boy softened at the girl feeling almost in awe, she was like an angel, what a good pet name the boy though, however his thoughts were interrupted by his twin.
"Hmm well ArIaAa, you've just got yourself two new friends- and obviously I'm your first friend that you've made in the castle!" He said waving his arms around.
The witch didn't look at him directly but muttered something along the lines of your not my first, which made the two wizards stop dead in their tracks to which she turned around to face them.
She felt anxious as this, were they upset with her?
"Well I'll be""Looks like we'll have to be your first boyfriends instead",
And just like that they left, leaving the girl in tatters. She was stunned. What was that even supposed to mean. Pushing the conversation to the back of her mind the perplexed which carried on her journey to positions. As the dingy classroom came into view she quicken her pace as she could see student entering- she didn't want to be late as she knew exactly what Professor Snape, she basically grew up examine the man.
Once she had entered she noticed that most of the room was filled with student from Gryffindor and Slytherin; only a few Ravenclaw occupied the class. She was looking for a seat but noticed that the only one that was left was by the infamous Draco Malfoy. Recoiling internally she went to the vacant seat.
Draco was a very handsome and popular with the ladies, however he normally he never entertained them- and knowing this the witch hoped he wouldn't entertain her. As she neared the spot the boy raised his head and looked towards her, at this action the girl then bowed her head and smiled slightly as she took her seat on the stool.
As Snape strode in with a flourish she felt eyes on the side of her head which made her shift uncomfortably in her seat. Unknown to her this made the boy smirk.
The class went on Aria started doodling as a distraction from the eyes that were burning into her skull. At first it was just Malfoy but now there was more, she could only guess they were Gryffindors due to the fact that they were stationed on the other side of the room and that where they were coming from.
The class was starting to come to a close and the young witched started to pack away her things when she heard sniggered from beside her.
"Ahem", Aria turned her head only to be met with Malfoy.
He extended his hand out to the girl and introduced himself, the girl felt frantic at this but kept her composure."Aria"
"Hmmm no last name girl?"
Fuck she thought.
"Dumbledore", she believed that if she was straight up with her last name then it wouldn't have been that much of a big deal- or maybe just less of big deal if she has kept it a secret. As she extended her hand to shake he stepped forward and grasped her hand before bringing it up to his lips and kissing it.
"A pleasure to meet you beautiful", he stated before smirking and leaving with the rest of the Slytherin house behind him. Most of Slytherin either looked at her with admiration or just didn't at all.
When she turned around to leave she saw that nearly all the Gryffindors sneered at her when she went past- typical. Aria hoped this may mean that they would stay away from her but she knew that this just wouldn't happen. Huffing the girl threw her bag over her shoulder and entered the corridor and started her quest to find a place to read as she had a double free period.
"Hey!", a voice shouted from behind her.
