12.58AM, Karl and George's apartment

George had just made it home after Dream had dropped him off at his apartment. He was walking into his apartment and about to lock his door when a book came flying towards George and hit him on the head.
"Ow!!" George whined and rubbed the part of his head were the book hit. Karl appeared in the hallway with and angry expression on his face and another book in his hand, ready to hit George again.

"What was that for?!" George asked as he made his way past Karl and into the living room. He sat himself down onto the couch and looked up at Karl, who was still angry.

"Why are you hanging out with Dream?" Karl asked seriously. George stopped breathing for a second before widening his eyes.
"Look Karl whatever you do, just... please don't tell the police." George practically begged. Karl rolled his eyes and sat next to George before turning on the tv and sighing.

"How did you even-"

"The car George." Karl said blankly. George looked over at Karl worriedly as Karl rarely spoke to anyone like this. He had no emotion in his voice, or maybe he was disappointed? George couldn't tell, but whatever was going on with Karl was slowly making George more and more concerned.

Karl looked over at George with a hurt expression. "I wanted to make sure you weren't going out with a sex offender or a murderer, so I looked up the license plate of the car you kept going into and found out it belonged to someone called Clay Wastaken. After a little digging I've learned the key characteristics of Clay; 6'5, blonde hair, green eyes and slightly tan skin. Dream also has these characteristics, apart from the eyes I have no clue what colour they were, but I took an educated guess."

George laughed. Of course Karl would have figured that out from a simple license plate, he should have asked Dream to park further away from the apartment; even then Karl probably would have looked at security cameras.

"George this isn't funny! Why are you hanging out with Dream? Did he kidnap you? Are you doing his dirty work?" Karl gasped. "Did he have you at gunpoint?!"

"No Karl, I had a choice, trust me." George grabbed his friend's shoulder tightly to calm him. "But there is something going on between us."

Karl looked at George angrily before turning his focus back to the tv. George furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "What are you-"

"Shut up." Karl said angrily and pointed at the tv screen. George looked up to see the faces of his parents displayed on the tv. It looked to be a news show and as it progressed, George realised the tv show was from his home town. It was a missing persons report.

"Where are your parents, George?" Karl asked and looked over at George. George couldn't speak, he felt as if the words were blocking his throat from working. He just looked over at Karl with a guilty expression before sighing.

"I killed them." He said quietly as he turned to face Karl. "I killed them and they deserved it, you know they deserved it."

Karl looked at George with a sad expression and sighed. "You could have at least told me what was going on, you know. It hurts to know your so called best friend lies about who they're going out with and doesn't tell me about something this serious. I mean your dating a wanted criminal."

George laughed lightly and leaned into Karl's shoulder. "I'm sorry Karl. I was just so excited about what was happening that I completely forgot about you. I promise I'll tell you everything from now on."

Karl looked away from George's gaze with an annoyed expression.
"It still doesn't make all the times you forgot about me okay. I was worried sick George and you were out there killing your parents for honks sake!" Karl raised his hand as he scolded George.
