There was many things Sabellious hated and having multiple women was one of them remembering his mother's suffering watching his father with another woman Sabellious would not subject another to that fate, so Sabellious had no intention of divorcing Ariadna from the beginning but things were complicated Sabellious was planning a rebellion which means the most vulnerable one is Ariadna.

Sabellious was aware that Garpenius had rats crawling all over his castle and Ariadna was exposed to them he knew if he showed Ariadna affection Garpenius would use it to his advantage so he had to keep Ariadna away from him, and so everyone knew that Sabellious despise Ariadna so if Sabellious were to divorce Ariadna it wouldn't come off as suspicious and so when going to neighboring country his plans had set in motion, Sabellious early in the morning for the first time had placed an affectionate kiss on Ariadna but was almost caught by one of the rats so to make things seemed normal he left early.

What the divorce papers contained was an agreement of a temporary divorce for 3 years and when those 3 years were over they would go back to wife and husband but never the thought crossed his mind that Ariadna wouldn't read the papers, Sabellious hold his temple in frustration it seems there will be a big problem here

"I'm sure you've heard of a temporary divorce before" he said

Ofcourse she has how can she not a temporary divorce is something that's rarely been done, she never expected Sabellious to make one since it's only a waste of money and can be described as a barbaric contract, a temporary divorce is a divorce contract that allows a couple to divorce in a set amount of time and will go back to each other when it's expired, within the divorce period you can do anything an unmarried or engaged person could do even intercourse without deeming it adultry so if an outside child is born a woman can't be prosecuted for having an affair because in the contract she was single this contract works in the favor of women, though no women was so bold to do such things and so the men took every advantage of that contract though even if a man cheated they wouldn't be punished like how the women were so that contract was made by empress Diana Sabellious's mother and one of the greatest empress in history during the time she was alive Isabelle was in good hands since she knew how to suppress Garpenius who was not a very good emperor but then she was framed and prosecuted for her family's old crimes against the royal family.

How could she not know Ariadna looked aside as she remembered the late empress diana she didn't know her but she must've have been a great and accomplished person like her son, Sabellious didn't look like Garpenius so she guest he looked like diana she must have been very beautiful too seeing as Sabellious was breathtaking

"I didn't know it was a temporary divorce"

"Ofcourse do you really think I'd remain divorce with you"

If it were the past her she would be grinning in utter delight but it was her now the damage has been done though to be honest she did feel a little nice hearing that fact

"So what now?" She asked

"You return with as my empress" he said

"You do know I have a child that is not your blood"

Sabellious looked down on the kid as he looked back at him holding his mother tightly

"And you should know that I don't feel or care for blood I can raise him as my own though the itching feeling to slight the man's throat who touched what's mine is still there"

A cold sweat ran down Ariadna cheek did he want to kill Amir Sabellious looked at Ariadna who was looking at him

"I'm not going to kill him his still yours and you care"
