Seems a little fishy (Tommy x reader)

Hello! This may be a short chapter but Idk we'll find out as we read on :)

"HEY!!! GET BACK HERE KID!!!!" A older looking man yelled as he chased after the blonde boy.

Tommy ran straight to you, picking you up and swinging you over his shoulder.

"Please don't tell me you stole that?" Tommy chuckled awkwardly. "For goodness sake!"

Tommy was, thankfully, way faster than the older man chasing after him. Soon enough, you were both out of sight. Tommy walked into an alleyway. It was dirty. He placed you onto the ground and sat down next to you. His legs smacking the floor. Finally he can rest for a bit.

"Here." Tommy gave you half of the bread.

"Thank you." You took a bite out of it before talking again. "Why did you steal this? Are you poor or something?"

He straightened out his back, "well about that... you know what I'm not going to tell you." He stuck out his tongue.

"I have money! Im not poor!" He said proudly.

"If you are then you would've payed for it." You said with a smirk.

"Shut your mouth!!" He crossed his arms as you giggled at him.

You both sat there for a while before you heard yelling.

"He went this way!!!!"

Your heart began to thump louder in your chest. Tommy covered you mouth, along with his own. Around 4 men dressed in uniform ran past the alleyway. They held weapons of some sort.

"We have to leave." Tommy stood up and started to walk away.

"Hey! You forgetting something?!" You shouted to him.

"Oh, right. Oops." He laughed.

Tommy picked you up, making sure your tail wasn't visible to anyone around before walking out of the alleyway.

"I'm going to take you to my brother. Hopefully he can help me take care of you." Tommy readjusted you in his arms.

"You have a brother?" You asked.

"Yeah, he's called Wilbur. He is also really tall so don't feel intimidated, he's actually really nice." Tommy smiled.

You smiled back.

After a few minutes of walking, you had arrived at a old looking house. It had cobwebs on the walls and plants growing up to the chimney. It kinda looked pretty.

Tommy knocked on the door as he couldn't open it with you in his arms. Soon enough, you heard the door unlock and open to see a very tall boy.

He looked down at me, then to Tommy, back to me, then Tommy. You get the idea.

"Who is this?" He asked.

"Can we get inside first! Geez." Tommy said pushing Wilbur back so he could get in.

He placed you in a chair that stood next to a round wooden table. The cloak moving a little, showing your tail.

Wilbur closed the door, looked down at your tail. He stood there stunned. Tommy walked over and waved his hand in front to Wilbur's face.

"Hello? Anyone home? Earth to Wilbur!"

"Why do they have a tail?" Wilbur finally spoke.

"I'm a mer-creature! My names Y/n! Nice to meet you." You smiled and held out your hand.

Wilbur took it and shook your scaly hand. "Amazing.."

You giggled.

"Y/n... you can go saying your mer-creature to anyone!" Tommy said worried.

"Oops.. sorry." You put your hand on the back of you neck.

After Tommy explained your situation to Wilbur, he sat down and thought of a way to hide your tail. He knew if people knew mer-creatures were real, he'll would break loose. And they would be hunted out of existence. People are like that and it's sad to think about it.

Wilbur's eyes then lit up. "Niki! That's it we will ask Niki!"

You looked at Wilbur. "Niki?"

"Oh right, Niki is our friend. She specialises in magic, but she obviously hides it."

"So she's a witch! My friend was a witch!!!" You said happily.

"Okay okay, where is Niki?" Tommy asked.

"In the forbidden woods..."
