I bring my knees to my chest, and bury my head with my long light brown hair. The wind gently blowing along my skin getting goosebumps.

After the seeing, my dad has been going crazy and my mom calling to check up on me every hour. I didn't  know what to do when my dad had suggested to move me far away from the States. He wasn't very happy with my thoughts or what he would like to put it, 'fantasy' with me dieing.

But, he can't do it. No matter how hard he tries to save me, I already set my mind to it.

"Baby girl come, let's go." My father gestures for me to follow him.

My father was also planning on introducing me to the other Alphas.
I have no idea whatsoever to why he does, but I heard its tradition or something.

I jump back into the room and quickly followed my dad outside our room. We start walking to the meeting room.

This whole morning my wolf has been on edge and I blocked everyone and everything out. A feeling in my gut has me on alert, plus I haven't told my dad about it. It just doesn't seem like a good time to tell him either.

We approach two big wooden doors that were slightly open enough for me to hear the soft murmurs of the Alphas. My dad pushes the door open and I hid behind his back. The soft murmurs have cease and the room is silent. Two of dads warriors stand on either sides of me looking very buff.

My dad enters the room first while I  just take small steps inside with the warriors doing the same. My dad sits at the far left seat of the opposite side of the table giving me an encouraging smile.

Unfortunately for me, I have to speak for my own.

All eyes were on me as I approach the head of the table and taking my seat. My wolf sensing the Alpha's change in mood. That can't be good.

'Stop hiding our scent.'

'I just want to talk first.'

'Well let's get talking.'

I sigh and rest my small hands in my lap looking up to face the Alphas.

Some just look confuse as others have blank expression  together with their betas.

I don't blame them though, a she-wolf never participates in any meetings that involves all the Alphas and their Betas.

"May I ask why your daughter is in this meeting Alpha Williams." a man sitting a few chairs away from me, to my right ask as he looks me up and down slightly frowning.

Everyone nods, agreeing with the Alpha's question.

My dad doesn't answer him, but gives me a knowingly look and I take that as my cue.

I clear my throat, "I take it upon myself to tell you who I am. With all due respect, I don't mean any inconvenience or so." My wolf known in my voice.

Everybody goes silent and I  release myself from the barrier I had, ever since I've arrived and everyone stiffens except for those who had came with me and my father.

One by one the Alphas together with their Betas bow their heads in respect. The atmosphere somehow changes, but not in a good way. My wolf is pacing in the back of my mind and I'm not liking it very much.

The door from the opposite side of the one I entered with my dad, suddenly swings open with much force that it makes me jump out of my seat, making my dads warriors crouching instantly beside me in fighting position, but I don't pay anymore attention to the growls of the warriors as I look at the tall figure standing at the door with two men standing behind him with both confuse and shock faces.

I stare at the hard blue orbs boring into mine with a stiff posture. His muscles flexing with every breath he takes, and I feel myself  getting weak as I examin the God before my eyes.

Everyone is quiet and the warriors are still growling at him, but he doesn't pay them any attention as he locks gazes with me.

The air seems to thicken and my heart is beating wildly, that I might think it might jump out of my chest right now.  My hand is shaking slightly be my side, that's thankfully hidden by the huge polished marble oval table.

The warriors somehow manage to get in front of me, blocking my view of the God.

Not a good move.

A deadly growl erupts, causing the building to shake, making me stagger back a couple of feet

"Boys, step away from Skylar." My dad ordering the warriors in his Alpha tone.

They hesitate and another deadly growl is release making me afraid
Not for me, but for the two men in front of me right now, risking their lives for my safety.

I can't let that happen now, can I?

I lay a hand on both of their shoulders and give them a small smile and they slowly step back behind me, but not to close.

Everyone is still and my father is standing next to him.

I gulp.

His gaze turns to mine not moving one bit. His masculine structure tense and alert, his eyes a darker shade of blue, with his brown hair sticking out in alot of places, as if he ran his hand threw it multiple times.

A dark, gloomy feeling comes through me and all I can feel is anger, sadness, and pain all at once.

Everyone in the room not daring to move or make a sound.

I didn't have to ask why.

I don't need to ask who he is.

Because needless to say, the man standing before is the and only, Daniel Black, Alpha of  the Midnight Crescent Pack. The alpha that has every rogue afraid to cross his territory. The alpha that has every wolf on edge with fear. The alpha that is known for being ruthless and soulless. The alpha that even my father doesn't dare to cross paths with.

The words my wolf that has been making her edgy ever since we arrived, the reason why I feel different and somehow distant with myself that's it's confusing me.

Mate.

  Daniel Black is my mate.

For anything, I'm happy, but not all happy. My reasons are simple.

I Skylar Williams am the reason for werewolf existence. My blood, my soul is pure. The responsibility I hold is bigger than the Mother of Luna's herself.

That is to stay alive.

I'm the Daughter of Luna's.
