My body feels numb as I stare at Daniel, who's doing the same. My dad shifts uncomfortably next to him.

Everyone is still and nobody makes the move to speak so I take it upon myself to bring the awkward silence to an end.

"My apologies for this inconvenience, and I would like to hold this meeting sometime later today. There has been an issue concerning the Mother of Luna's and myself. I give my apologies once again for this inconvenience." I tore away from Daniel's gaze and look at the Alphas with shock expression together with worry.

"You may all see yourselves to the door." I say quietly, sitting back into my seat with a blank expression.

One by one, Alphas and Betas bow their heads and slowly make their way to the door glancing back at me me before leaving.

Daniel hasn't move, but his two men with my father had seated themselves a few chair from me.

I study his face, which is emotionless and I can't help, but feel hurt. His eyes now focusing on the floor.

I turn away from him and face the warriors that have been by my side the whole time.

"Boys, wait outside the door, my father and I are in great hands of..." I look at Daniel's men who are looking at me with awe.

"Josh." One of them say, smiling.

Josh has brown hair with dark eyes to go with it. He's very well built, but I'm not at all surprise, seeing their Alpha is Daniel.

"Carter." a man across from Josh says with a glint of mischief in his eyes. His dirty blonde hair sticking out and his bright green eyes fill with pride.

I nod, " with Josh and Carter." my voice back to it's soft tone.

I wait for my dad's warriors to exit the room and I train my focus back to the men. I notice Daniel still frozen in his spot and I shake my head lightly,

"Daniel, please take a seat. We have plenty to discuss." I say with calm.

Daniel snaps his head up to the sound of my voice with a blank face.

Shortly after, he takes a seat at the opposite side of me. His eyes connecting with mine and the atmosphere changes rapidly, but in a good way.

A small smile makes its way unto my tan skin.

"Alpha Daniel, it's an honour to meet you." My voice is slightly a whisper.

Daniel seems to struggle to get any word out so I continue,

"I suppose you were here for the meeting as well?" I ask.

He gives me a short nod. I could tell he wasn't comfortable with talking.
My wolf pacing in my mind with her emotion flying all over the place. Not a good thing.

  I know why.

"Skylar you need to tell him." My dad cuts in looking at me sternly.

Josh and Carter exchange confuse looks, but theirs couldn't beat Daniels whose giving me a lost puppy look.

I turn to my father with a grim smile,

"Not the place nor the time dad. He can know when the meeting for tonight is done, but not now."

Honestly, I  wasn't planning on telling my mate my current and past situation.

"I understand." Dad gives me a small smile then looks to Josh and Carter.

"Would you boys promise me something?" His face meaning all business.

Josh glances to Daniel whose staring at me, but gives Josh a nod. I would expect myself to blush red for Daniel staring at me the whole time, but I don't.

"Yes sir." Carter smiles.

"Skylar is very important to me and my pack, even if she's going to change packs," my dad has a serious face onnthe whole time," Skylar might look innocent and all, but she can be very reckless and stubborn, so when there comes a time she makes an irrational decision, keep her out of danger." a smile playing on his lips and looking at me with sad eyes.

My heart almost broke for him. I'm his only child, and I'm going to join packs with Daniel seeing their is no other heirs than me.

I return him a genuine smile and turn to face confuse looking men.

"We'll protect her with our lives Alpha Cole." Josh gives me a look and shakes his head with Carter smirking at me.

Daniel still hasn't said anything and I'm worrying. Why?

  I seriously don't have a clue.

"Dad, I thought we talked about this." My dad faces me with a determine look, something about his eyes are telling me that I would have to give in.

"Skylar don't start with me, you might've made up your mind about it, but think about how your choice to do it is going to affect those around you. Daniel is sure as hell isn't going to be very happy with it either, hell your mother is going to castrate me for not even telling her about the seeing." He throws his hands in the air, adding more action to his speech.

Mature.

  I shake my head lightly,

"There is a reason why the Moon Goddess has chosen me, and I'm not going to abandon my kind when they're going to need me." I say calmly looking him dead in the eye.

  My dad holds his gaze.

"There's another way Skylar, there's always another way." He growls. Daniel is instantly standing, I almost forgot he was here... with Josh and Carter.

I hold up my hand and the room falls silent. I sigh with frustration, I barely fought with my dad and it just makes me feel guilty for choosing to give my life for my kind.

"What is he talking about Skylar." Daniel is still standing, with his fist clench. His voice a deep husky tone making me shiver, but I don't let it show.

"Something that I will tell you later tonight. Now, I would like to discuss
something-" I stop mid-sentence, when my waist and back starts to burn with a familiar tingle.

My marks.

My marks, the thing that identifies what I am and who I am, a symbol to let everyone know that I'm special. The burning feeling increases making me standing up abruptly, causing the chair to fall back and everyone standing as well.

I could feel millions of feelings and emotions going through my body at once. Anger, Love, Hatred, Betrayal, Rejection, Sadness and more, coursing through my veins.

By this rate my marks are practically glowing red, showing the unique designs that swirls around my upper waist, swiveling around my ribcage and ending a little above my right shoulder blade.

Pain evident in my posture as I arch my back, and the emotional adrenaline spreads throughout my small body, making me hold back a whimper.

Josh and Carter looking at my father for an explanation, Daniel on the other hand is shaking vigorously, and his beautiful blue eyes are now just pitch black. Not good.

My dad starts yelling out things to Josh an Carter, but now I can barely hear a thing. My dads warriors came rushing into the room, all I can hear is faint voice calling out to me.

My markings are now blazing red, and I let out a small groan of pain.

I look around to see Daniel being held down by my pack members and his wolf evident in his eyes. His huge frame still shaking and his teeth gritting out some words I can't make out.

I wanted to order them to let him go, knowing how stupid it still is, but all I see now is white... again.

One person only comes to mind,

Stacy.
