Y/N's Pov

"Robbie asked me to marry him!" She squeals, bouncing on her toes and brandishes her left hand which, sure enough had a beautiful ring slotted perfectly onto her finger.

"oh." I said quietly

Oh. That's all I could really get at that point, but I couldn't let Lizzie down.

"Oh?" She said sadly, lowering her hand.

"I mean like- oh wow!" I fake a laugh and hold her hand pretending to gawk at the expensive looking ring.

She smiles and begins to bounce on her toes again.

"Listen, I have to get home to y'know- yeah it's late" I smiled weakly and stood up, gave her a quick hug before walking out of her and Robbie's house and getting into my car and driving home kinda numb if I'm honest.

Lizzie's Pov

Y/N left almost as soon as she came but it's fine as I got to tell her about the engagement.

Before Robbie proposed things were a bit rocky and we were on the verge of a breakup.

However I think the proposal was him showing he still loves me.

I smile to myself before getting up and tidying a bit before I get a text from Scarlett. I told her about the engagement yesterday and she was happy for me which was wonderful.

Scar:
Hey bitch
Was I the first to know about the proposal?

Me:
Yeah why

Scar:
Wait-
Before y/n?!

Me:
Yeah..?

Scar:
HAHA THAT LOSER CAN SUCK IT I GOT TOLD BEFORE HER

Me:
omfg pls don't

Scar:
So i'm the favourite right??

Me:
Goodbye Scarlett.

I chuckle slightly and set my phone down and decide to call it a night.

Robbie isn't home yet, he keeps working late but it's fine.

I slip into bed and mull over the day in my head, still quite confused at Y/N's reaction when I told her I'm engaged.
