"What do you mean?"

"Mr Arnett's last pay check was when he was fired from the company"

"Excuse me?" I stood frozen in place

"I'm sorry ma'am but I really can't do anything more"

"No- it's okay- thank you for your time" I stuttered out

"Sorry I can't do more" she apologised again

I hung up the phone and tried to process it all.

Fired? And more than two months ago?

I put my phone down and closed my eyes.

Why didn't he tell me?

Why was he fired?

Has he been taking my money because of this?

My phone rang and it was Robbie, I ignored the call and called someone else instead, someone better.

"Hey Lizzie!" She called cheerfully

"Y/N please I need you to come over" I said on the verge of tears

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" She rushed out frantically

"I'm fine- I just- I need you right now" I whispered, trying to hold the tears at bay.

"I'm coming over now, hang on"

"Okay, thank you so much"

"I'll always be here for you Olsen"

Y/N's Pov

I ran to my car and drove to Lizzie's as fast as  could, probably speeding to be fair.

What could have happened to her that she called me on the verge of tears?

I swear to fucking god if that Jesus looking ass prick laid a hand on-

"Y/N" Lizzie said before pulling me into a tight hug.  I cradled her head under my chin, myself being taller. (waiting for the comments on how short you all are LMAO)

I guided us both into her lounge after walking in and shutting the door behind us.

"I'm sorry- I didn't know who to call and I don't even know how to explain it now and you're probably thinking I'm insane and I called you here for nothing but-" she apologised quickly but I cut her off by kissing her on the cheek, dangerously close to her lips as she turned her head towards me.

I sat up straight and looked into her eyes when we realised how close that was, how close we were.

And just before I was going to try and distance ourselves so I wouldn't be tempted to do anything, she grabbed the sides of my face and smashed our lips together.

I was completely taken aback but kissed her nonetheless. The world disappeared around us, we were the only ones on it.

Nothing else mattered in this moment. Everything felt perfect and meant to be.
