dream was always hanging out with his friends when he was outside of school, the weather was pretty warm and breezy. even though dream loved hot weather, he probably loved these types of days more.

as the blonde floridian was sat down on a familiar white swinging bench that was almost covered with over growing vines dreams mom refused to keep tamed, he could only help but look at his friends.

they were karl, sapnap, quackity and george. three out of the four were currently in dreams swimming pool that was a deep shade of orange because of the led lights that were fitted into the pool, he was rich, why wouldn't you have led lights in the pool? quackity was dunking his head under the little fountain sapnap was causing by splashing him from the hot tub that was raised slightly above the pool. surprisingly, karl was just admiring the two with the occasional laugh of something someone would say.

george was sat on the newly cut grass, being careful not to get his cleaned clothes covered in grass stains or dirt. his deep brunette hair was currently drying after being splashed by sapnap and he hadn't said a word after that, which scared dream. the day was nice and it was nearly the end of it, the sunset was only in around a couple of hours and you could tell the hot weather was saying it's goodbyes and dream didn't want george's stupid moods ruining it.

all that dream could do is mind his own business and not bother george and hope that he wasn't in fact in a pathetic mood. watching the british male stand up and walk over to dream, the blonde slightly moved to the other side of the bench to make room for george. liking his personal space was something that was normal for most people and sitting in the middle of the bench with someone next to you might just invade that.

"you took your necklace off?" george spoke with his heavy accent, glancing between the trio and the tallest out of the whole group, dream.

it was a natural thing to lie to people and for dream, it came way too naturally when he had to lie. having no idea where it comes from or where he learnt it from, dream just decided to roll with it because it was in fact a life saver most times.

"i thought i was going into the pool so i took it off, i didn't want it to get damaged." shrugging, dream replied with a lie that rolled off his tongue too smoothly.

"weird." is all the brunette said, raising a single brow with a small scoff following.

"weird?" confused, dream repeated the previous phrase in a questioning tone.

"i was actually out with alyssa earlier today and we saw punz and actually wished our condolences to him after the whole funeral." leaving his sentence to linger for a moment, he continued. "and i saw a necklace with an engraved 'c' in the pendant of it..it kind of looked like yours now i think of it."

"oh come on now." chuckling, dream showed a toothy grin and ruffled george's drying hair. "they are in trend, george."

"it looked identical to the one you have, it even had the custom designed chain you had..you know..the chunky circles with the design of an ender eye in it." moving away from the hair ruffle, george moved even closer to the opposite side of the bench.

"why would i give my necklace to punz out of all people, george?"

in the corner of his eyes, he saw the familiar trio go inside to probably get to their dry clothes that dream hoped were decently far from the outside area of the house. rubbing the bridge of his nose and closing his pale green eyes, dream knew he was fucked. of course, he knew george remembered small things and paid attention to every little deal but he didn't think he would spot little details on a person he probably never talked to before.

"you've been tutoring him, right?" making eye contact with dream, george's eyes were almost glaring with pure annoyance.

"no, not recently." taking every opportunity to defend himself, dream could only talk a little more before he was truly fucked. "i chose to give him space because of hannah's death."
