"Holy fuck, finally!" Stan exclaimed, making everyone perk up. He turned and saw everyone looking at him, as he was in the passenger seat with Bill driving. "Oh, we're not here. I just finally beat this level of Mario Bros that has taken me half an hour."

Richie was in the center seat and Eddie was in the back. They hadn't sat together since the motel because Eddie was extremely embarrassed by his morning wood at the motel that he knew Richie noticed. The others didn't comment, but they did find it weird because Richie and Eddie were usually attached at the hip.

"Damn, you really got our hopes up, Stanley," Richie groaned, putting his feet up on the console.

Stan slapped his feet. "Get your gross feet away!" he snapped. "We're only about an hour away so take a chill pill."

Eddie groaned and leaned against Mike, who was writing a letter to his grandparents. "Mike, I'm so bored," he whined, since his phone died thirty minutes before and he didn't bring an old DS like Stan had.

"Eddie, it's only another hour," Mike responded, not looking up from his writing. "Look out the window."

"How fascinating," Eddie said sarcastically. "All of those beautiful cars and long fucking road that I've been staring at for the last four days."

Richie handed him his phone. "Here you go, you damn toddler. There's some games on my phone. Would you like a juice box and some string cheese to go along with it?"

"Don't patronize me, four eyes."

"I'm pretty sure Bowers could come up with a better insult and he's only got one brain cell that works every other week," Richie responded, leaning his head against the window.

Eddie hummed and unlocked Richie's password, clicking on Plants vs Zombies. Their passwords were the same since they didn't hide much from each other and they didn't snoop in each other's phones anyway.

Richie was really bad at the games on his phone and preferred those on an X-box, but he kept them downloaded since Eddie was extremely impatient and needed something to keep him entertained. While Richie came across as the one who would need something to do at all times, Eddie surprised everyone and was way more impatient.

"Richie, you have no progress on this game," Eddie said, starting at level two of the first part of the game. "You don't even have a full lawn!"

"I only download games so you have something to do when you're bored, dipshit," Richie told him, wiping his eyes. "Fuck, I'm tired."

They had small furniture shopping to do when they arrived, but they placed online delivery for their mattresses so they at least had something to sleep on the first night of living in their apartments. The land lord was really kind as well and had put them into the rooms so they weren't left out and able to be taken.

"You slept on the couch last night, so it serves you right," Bev said, looking out the other window. "Why didn't you share with Eddie?"

"He kicks in his sleep," Richie lied, his face going red as Eddie suddenly found the sounds of the game very interesting and turned up the volume.

Mike raised an eyebrow. "Haven't you guys been sharing a bed since childhood?"

"Yeah, but Eds has never popped a boner against my back," Richie thought to himself, just shrugging as he tried to play it off as something normal.

"It was hot in there. Too hot to be sharing a bed," Richie argued, and thankfully no one questioned him, even though they knew it was pretty cold in the motel they'd stayed in the night before.
