WILLOW

There's something so attractive about a man that's just as demanding as he is beautiful. And Levi Brady was everything – and that's coming from a girl with about zero experience. Nobody tells you when you are fourteen and reading love stories alone in your room, that you should be interacting with boys now because if you wait until you are twenty-three you won't know how to talk to a cute boy that walks past your cubicle at least twice a day.

Levi had a confidence about him that I've never quite experienced before. He knew that he was attractive, but he had a way of being humble. I've been fascinated with him since I've started, about six months ago. He probably knows because the other secretaries are such gossips and are constantly winking at me anytime he comes onto the floor.

He is one of the accountants for the office – he's ones of the smartest people I know, yet he's beyond beautiful. I tried to do my best ignoring him when he came around today – I continued redacting for a new case, which I would rather be doing anything else. I was looking through my files when I felt a presence looking over my cubicle.

"Hey there, dollface." Levi said as I looked up – I wasn't expecting him to stop by at all.

"Levi, how are you?" I asked casually.

"Just fine! Would you want to grab lunch with me?" he questioned.

Lunch with Levi wasn't something out of character – we got it at least twice a week; but Fridays I usually grabbed it with Tristan, he worked across the street and was an old family friend.

"I actually had plans today – but he's flexible so why not!" I told him while saving my document so we could leave.

"Tristan, right?" He asked, I was surprised he knew him.

"Uh, yeah. I didn't realize you knew him." I briefly questioned him.

"Honey, everyone knows Tristan Copeland – CEO of Copeland's Technology. Man, what I would do to mother his children." Sarah – a secretary across from me said.

"So, lunch?" He mentioned again.

I just shook my head in agreement and followed him out. We ended up going to some Italian restaurant – which wasn't my favorite and it certainly foreshadowed the afternoon.

After we received our pasta, he started into conversation.

"So Willow, as it's not a mystery to anyone but you have a crush on me." He claimed so matter of fact. I nearly choccked on the alfredo.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"C'mon Willow! Don't be coy – all the secretaries have told me. It's cute – I love you too." He was saying words at this point and I was baffled. This has to some sick joke.

"Really?" I asked in shock. "Wait, don't answer that." I told him and then ran out of the restaurant so fast.

I halted a cab back to work and found a quiet bathroom to collect my thoughts. Like did he just think my feelings were a joke. Wasn't he like thirty – why was he acting like a high school bully? And I somehow maintained the role of the nerdy fat girl, which wasn't far from the truth – but still.

When I finally gained the courage to resurface from the bathroom I headed back to my desk and the first thing I heard was laughing, followed by my name – I was confused and then I saw Levi's phone propped up on one of the cubicle surrounds, opposite of my own. Sarah.

He apparently filmed his 'confession' and my facial expression before I bolted from the worst restaurant I have ever been to.

"As if I would actually ever tell her I love her. I could do better on my death bed." He joked with Sarah and a few of the other secretaries – I think one of the attorneys might've went by and seen it too. I truthfully just felt like a deer in headlights.
