"I'm sorry dad."

Brooke jumped off the plane and onto the ground. She looked at me with tears welling in her eyes. "Don't cry." I said. "If you cry, I'll cry. I have sensitive eyes."

She smiled. God. I love her smile. "Thanks Barry." She said.

"Yep." I then threw her a duffel bag. "We need to get going." I said. "The police will be here any minute. Do you have any suggestions where we should go?"

"I don't care." She then elbowed me. "As long as I'm with my best friend."

Best. Friend.

I brushed it off before it could effect me more. "Let's get going then." I said. I grabbed her hand and we raced around Berlin trying to find a train or something that could take us to America. It was odd at first, going on the run officially. My mom did it all the time but this was a first to me and a first to Brooke.

We noticed the cop cars rushing to the airport. They're too late.

We continued to run around until we were starving. "Is there a McDonald's nearby? I'm dying." Brooke said.

"Um..I don't think they have McDonalds in Europe." I said. "But I might be wrong."

"Oh. Well they should." Brooke said. She then motioned to a fast food restaurant with a name I couldn't say right.

"How much money do we have?" I asked. We then both opened our bags. "I have 500. You?"

"Same. So one thousand?"

"Yeah. That should get us pretty far." I said.

"Great! Food!" Brooke said, the grin on her face growing.

I grabbed her hand and we walked inside to see a long line. Damn. We didn't have much time.

"Dang it." Brooke said, defeated.

"It's okay. We can find another place." I said, trying to bring the mood up. I grabbed her hand and we walked inside another restaurant with a hard name to pronounce.

Luckily, there was barely a line. We walked in, ordered, paid, and left. We walked outside to the main court area and set our food down on the table before getting settled in two chairs.

"You know, if it wasn't for us being on the run, I would count this as a date." I said. Brooklyn looked up from her taco. She looked like she had just saw a ghost. But then I realized.

I just said that out loud.

"I mean, l-like a friendly date." I was blushing harder than ever. "I mean like a best friend hangout." It didn't work. It was worse. "Like a play-date." Did I just say that?

She chuckled softly. "Sure. We are having a play date and trying not to die.."

I finger gunned her. "Yes! Exactly."

Before I knew it, I heard sirens wailing in the distance.

"We have to move." She said. "I was really looking forward to eating the taco."

"Bring it with." I wrapped up my taco. "Ima eat it while running."

"That's not gonna work." She said.

"That's what she said."

"...."

"....."

"Well...okay then." She put her taco in her bag as I did the same. We pushed in our chairs and hopped the fence and out into ongoing traffic. Brooklyn ran without saying anything but I kept on apologizing for some reason.

It's probably the human in me or something like that. That's what my mom would say. I'll probably never see her again.

We ran until we made it to a train station. "Why are we here?"

"I'm buying a ticket." She then tapped on the window and reached in her bag for a wad of cash. "Ticket for two." She said. She placed the cash on the counter without bothering to count it. "Hope it's enough."

The man pulled the tickets and handed them to her. She smiled and walked over and handed me a ticket. We then ran onto the train before bursting out laughing in front of everyone.

"Why are we laughing?" I asked.

"Because we almost died!"

"Why is that funny?"

"I don't know!"

We still laughed. We then walked over to the area where we sat and slept. I was so happy to see separate beds. I would have loved to sleep with her but boundaries.

Also, we aren't even dating. It would have been awkward.

She placed her stuff down as I did the same. We then took off. I looked out the window like I was in a music video. She then tapped on my head.

"Dude. I feel like I'm on the Hogwarts express." She said. I laughed.

"Sure. And I'm Harry."

"And I'm Ron."

"That makes my parents Lily and James."

"That makes dad and Bucky, Fred and George." She said. We shared a laugh before her face went serious. "You might wanna be careful on here."

"Yeah. The government might be watching." I said, looking around.

"Well, yeah but that's not what I meant. You know my dad has an issue with friends and trains. And then falling. So you better not piss me off."

My eyes went wide. She wouldn't. Would she? I tried to chuckle but it was hard. The thought was unbearable.

She smiled and busted out laughing. "I'm messing with you dude. You think you would know this by now."

I smiled. "Yeah I guess. Even though my dads really smart, I think I get my moms jeans. I'm not the smartest tool in the shed."

"Bro no that's me and daddio."

"Did you just call your dad dumb?"

"Did you just call your mom dumb?"

"Yes."

We laughed again.

It was nighttime and I laid in my bed. I turned and saw Brooklyn was already asleep. I felt like I was watching her for a good while. I shouldn't have though. I would have been a stalker.

I would have been Christian mother freaking Gray.

I shivered at the thought.

I saw the movie for the first time when I walked in on my mom watching it. She covered my eyes so I wouldn't see anything.

Then I watched again as part of training at SHIELD. It was supposed to help us 'stay strong when scared'

Brooklyn was the first to snap. She ran out of the room and stayed in her bedroom. I was next. Then Lila.

I smiled at the thought. I then closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

A/n: okay but I love this chapter. Barry accidentally called it a date which I thought was hilarious. Then the Office reference. Then they had the talk about Hogwarts.

Then the Bucky train joke.

And then Christin Gray.

I'm a really odd writer lol. I probably need someone else proof checking my stuff.
