I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I groan and check the time. 6:24 am. Who is calling me this freaking early on a Friday? I reluctantly answer, half awake. I yawn as I hear Ari's voice. "Did you just wake up? Get out of bed!" my best friend scolds me.

"Ari, why did you wake me up this early, I was having a good dream!"

"Did you forget your shift today? Me and Elena have already been working for half an hour while you laze around in your bed." I could practically hear her roll her eyes through the phone. I rolled off my bed and made my way over to the bathroom still talking to Ari.

"Hold your horses, I'm getting ready right now. I'll be there in 15 minutes."

"You better be a whole crowd of people are coming." Ari replies, getting angrier.

"K, bye."

"Bye." she grumbled, hanging up.

I sighed putting my phone down on the counter. I washed my face and put some simple makeup on. I didn't really need much since my skin is pretty clear, my eyelashes are long, and my lips are naturally a soft pink (not to brag). I rummaged through my closet for my Starbucks uniform. I put it over a pair of light baggy jeans and a Sunset Curve t-shirt and pulled my light brown hair into a low bun.

At Starbucks, 10 minutes later

I walked into the coffee shop and sighed. Ari wasn't lying when she said a butt load of people were here. I guess that's LA Starbucks on mornings for you. I said hi to some of the customers as I walked behind the counter to clock in and started taking a wrinkly old man's order. He wanted straight black coffee. yuck.

"Nice of you to finally show up!" I heard behind me. I looked and Ari was standing there at the counter, making some kind of frappuccino.

"Hey, I have to work a half hour later than you so it's not like I had a break." I argued.

"Guys, stop arguing we don't have the time for that! We have 20 people in line and there's only 3 of us." Elena, my other best friend, said. She was right. Elena is the sensible one of the group. She's smart and knows how to work under pressure. She's also incredibly kind so it makes it easy to work with her.

Ariana on the other hand, was the complete opposite. She always had a snarky, sarcastic remark to make in every conversation which would piss off Elena. Ari got even more snarky under pressure. She was an amazing friend though, always being honest, loyal, and supportive. I honestly don't know how our friend trio worked out but that's where I come in.

I'm the glue that held everything together. I'm usually outgoing and friendly. I love people and just observing small little quirks everybody had. Maybe that's why I like reality tv.

It could get exhausting controlling Ariana's temper but I loved these girls. We've been friends since sophomore year of high school and seven years later, we're still spending almost every day together.

We're so inseperable we all lived together for two years after my parents died. They helped me get out of my depression and I'll always be thankful for that. Now we all live alone but we all work at the same Starbucks.

The crowd had finally started dying out after two hours. I was drinking from my water bottle and mindlessly scrolling through Instagram when I heard the front door bell ring. I looked up and saw a very handsome tattooed man had walked in. He had dark hair, a sharp jawline and beautiful tan skin. He looked Indian, or Pakistani.
