Chapter Two


Jeongin was still in daze even after he’d taken a bath and almost ready to go to school. He was still stock in this dream and he don’t even know what place is this and what time is it now. He felt like he is floating and his body is so light but his head is full of different thoughts and questions that no one could answer.

This boy that introduced himself last night as his brother named Jungwoon keeps on staring at him with his knotted eyebrows like he’s questioning himself what’s happening to him.

“Yah! Hyung… are you really okay? You look bothered! What happened to you yesterday seriously? You became like this after that incident at the school rooftop!” the boy asked him with a knotted eyebrows.

Jeongin blows a loud breath while having second thoughts if he should answer him or not because even him, he doesn’t know the answer to this boy's question! And how the hell would he even know when he only came in this dream last night and he don’t know how to get out of here!

“Young masters, the car is ready.” A man in a black suit who looks years older than them interrupted their conversation. Jeongin's eyebrows met after hearing the man’s words. What the hell did he just call them? Young masters? What the hell is this?

“Y-young… young master?” Jeongin mumbled with disbelief in his voice.

The man in black suit bowed at him making Jeongin’s eyes widened in shock. “Yes young master. Is there a problem?” the man asked using his most respectful voice like he is some kind of an important person that needs to be treated with such respect.

Jeongin opened his mouth to speak when Jungwoon cuts him off. “Ah! Don’t mind him Mr. Bae, we will be out in a second. I’ll just talk to my brother.” Jungwoon said and the man bowed again at them before leaving the dinning room with such elegance.

Then, seconds later, Jungwoon stared at him before scratching his eyebrow. “Hyung! I don’t know what’s happening with you anymore.” He blows a loud breath, looking so done with him. “maybe Felix hyung can do something.” He mumbled and Jeongin frowned at the unfamiliar name that Jungwoon just blurted out. And who the hell is Felix this time?

“Who…” Jeongin shook his head before releasing a loud breath. He better shut his mouth and avoid asking questions. Maybe he’ll wake up sooner. So for the meantime, he will stay here and just go with the flow. He will definitely gets out of this dream and everything will go back to normal. Ah, he almost forgot! Nothing in his life is normal.

“Let’s get going now. We might be late if we continue chatting here.” Jungwoon said before helping him get up of his chair. He can’t walk properly because of his ankle injury and he needs this crutches to support his weight and to help him walk maybe not properly but at least he could still walk using this things.

They both headed towards the garage and Jeongin almost dropped his mouth on the floor after seeing different branded cars at the garage area. From Cadillac, Aston Martin, Porsche, Lexus, and Chevrolet. He doesn’t even want to think about the prices of each cars he is seeing right now because he would bet his life, he can never afford any of these in his life. And he never imagine that he would be seeing these right now.

“Yah… is this… yours?” Jeongin asked Jungwoon who’s looking at him with confusion.

Jungwoon looks at the man in the black suit whom he called Mr. Bae earlier with his knotted eyebrows like he’s asking the old man what’s happening to him. The old man looks at him before giving him a small smile. “These are all yours young master. These are not just owned by young master Jungwoon but also yours. Everything in this house belongs to the both of you.” The man explained and Jeongin needed to stop himself from gapping because that’s just too embarrassing.

“You… you mean to say…” Jeongin looks at the big mansion in front of him not to mention the wide lawn yard in front that may took you minutes before you arrive in front of the main door of the mansion if you decided to walk them  and the fountain at the center. “These… are all ours?” he asked while pointing at himself and Jungwoon. The man nod his head before motioning his hand inside the car. “Get inside now young masters. You might be late in school if we don’t hurry.” The man said.

Jungwoon shook his head before helping him to get inside the car. He held his arms so he could balance himself and after he got inside, Jungwoon hopped inside too.

Mr. Bae was the one who drove the car and the whole ride was silent. Jeongin was just looking outside the car while thinking of what’s happening to him right now. He just don’t know how to get out of this dream! This never happened to him before. Just now, that’s why he don’t know what to do. Or if there is something he needs to do so he could finally wake up right now! He can’t continue living in this world. The life he have here is not his. He is not the real Jeongin here. These things, all of these are not meant for him. This life… is not meant for him.

He was busy contemplating with himself that he didn’t notice the car finally stopped in front of a prestigious looking university. Just by looking at the gate itself, Jeongin could instantly tell that only students who came from a well-known family could afford to study here. He stopped himself from gapping once again. Everything keeps coming and he would always be surprised. And who the hell won’t be surprise with what’s happening right now?

“C’mon hyung!” he heard Jungwoon's voice waking him up from his thoughts.

Jeongin held his crutches once again after stepping out of the car. Once they totally entered the university, students who’s busy lurking around starts to whisper while looking at them. Some would even suppress a squeal making Jeongin furrowed his eyebrows. What the hell is wrong with these people?

“What’s wrong with them?” Jeongin whispered at Jungwoon who’s walking beside him.

Jungwoon shrugged his shoulders like he’s not bothered at the people’s stares at all. “Well, they are always like that whenever they will see us walking around the university. You don’t even have to be surprise actually. You always witness this kind of situation every morning during weekdays. So what’s with that shock face?” Jungwoon asked.

Jeongin could tell that Jungwoon is so done with him but he just can’t help it! This is his first time witnessing all of these anyways and he is not the Jeongin that this Jungwoon used to know.

And because Jeongin was walking slower, he didn’t notice that Jungwoon was already ahead of him but he just let him, at least he can still see him.

While Jungwoon immediately approaches Felix when he saw him reading some book at one of the benches at the field. “Felix hyung! Felix hyung!” Jungwoon shouted earning not just his Felix hyung's attention but also the other students who’s walking and sitting close to Felix.

Felix let go of the book before removing his spectacles. He furrowed his eyebrows at Jungwoon who’s fussing over something. “What is it? You’re drawing attention.” Felix said with his deep voice before closing the book.

“Yah! Felix hyung! You know what? Jeongin hyung is acting weird!” Jungwoon hissed while glancing at Jeongin’s direction who’s walking slowly with his crutches.

“Hmm? When did he even act normal huh?” Felix asked with his flat voice.

Jungwoon scratches his nape irritatedly because his Felix hyung is not taking his concern seriously. “Well you got a point right there, but Hyung! This is a different level of weirdness here!”

“What do you mean by different level of weirdness? Did he eat some mango and dipped it in ketchup? Or maybe he took a bath but instead of using shampoo he used a body lotion instead?” Felix asked and Jungwoon almost bang his hyung's head on the table.

“Yah! Hyung! I really hate you right now.” Jungwoon whined before crossing his arms over his chest.

Felix shook his head before eyeing Jeongin who’s almost near their direction.

While Jeongin who’s walking peacefully and unaware that he is the previous topic of those two boys sitting at the bench he is heading to suddenly felt like someone is watching him. He don’t know why but he can really feel like someone is watching him from somewhere. So out of curiosity, he roamed his eyes around the university but all he can see is the busy students and none of them is looking at him.

Jeongin shook his head. Maybe he’s just being too paranoid.

He shook his head and shrugged his shoulders before he continued walking.

He then stopped in front of the bench where Jungwoon was sitting and in front of him is a man with his hair brush up, wearing a spectacles while reading a thick book. Jungwoon is pouting at the man while the man seemed not to care at him at all and more interested at the book he’s reading.

Jeongin cleared his throat to get their attention and it actually works. The man wearing a spectacles lifted his gaze at him before closing his book and Jungwoon just took a side glance at him before crossing his arms again.

“Ummm…”

“Yah! Jeongin! How is your ankle? You should have stayed at your house and rest your feet.” The man said and Jeongin just force a smile at him. He don’t even know who this man is!

“See? I told you he’s acting weird! He didn’t even replied with your remarks! If he is right in the head, he would have nag at you for telling him to rest, saying you are not his guardian and you don’t have the rights to tell him what he should have done.” Jungwoon blurted out and the man in front just shook his head while chuckling to himself.

“Yah… Jungwoon-ah! You should understand your brother. He hit his head yesterday. That’s probably the side effect of the incident.” The man looks at him. “You are not going crazy right?” he asked.

Jeongin immediately opened his mouth to defend himself. “Of course not! I’m far from being crazy okay?” he then looks at Jungwoon. “And you! Stop saying I’m acting weird! I’m totally normal!” Jeongin said. If this is how the real Jeongin act in front of these people then he have to be like him. He needs to act like him until he finally wakes up from this dream.

“But last night! You just asked me what’s my name! And you even got surprised after I called you hyung!” Jungwoon fired back.

“Of course! I… I… I just woke up from a dream then I instantly saw your face after opening my eyes! Who wouldn’t be frightened?” Jeongin spat back.

He heard the man’s laughter before pointing at him. “Jungwoon-ah! He is definitely your brother!” the said, still laughing his heart out.

Jungwoon looks at the man sharply before standing up and walking out with heavy steps. Jeongin just eyed Jungwoon until he disappeared in his sight. He heard the man cleared his throat that’s why he fixed his eyes at him.

“Let’s go to our room.” He looks at his wrist watch. “Our first class is about to start.” The man said and Jeongin is not really comfortable with him because he is still a stranger to him but he needs to get along with him because that is what he needs to do.

“Um… y-yeah!” Jeongin said and they were about to go when someone cleared their throat from behind him.

They both look back and saw a man wearing a grey colored vest uniform, the same with the uniform he is wearing. “Oh! Need anything?” this man wearing a specs asked the man in front of them. This man… he looks like that guy he talked with in one of his dreams.

But this one in front of him, he looks cold and unapproachable. He suddenly remember himself, his true self, this time. He used to look like this man. He barely— nah! He never smile to anyone unless he feels like smiling at them. But that’s a very rare case for him.

“Lix,” the man uttered a single word and Jeongin felt like a chills run down his spine. This man is as cold as ice! “Can I talk to Jeongin first? This won’t take long, promise.” The man said but Jeongin can’t even hear any emotions in his voice and he can’t see any emotions in his face either.

The man he called Lix looks at him before nodding his head. “Umm… yeah sure! Just make it quick.” He looks at him. “I’ll wait for you over there.” He said and all Jeongin could do is nod his head because he don’t know what’s happening anymore.

Person after person keeps on appearing in front of him and he don’t even know any of them! How the hell will he face them? And now this man…

Jeongin slowly turned his gaze at the man standing in front of him before taking a deep breath. Time to show his acting skills again. “W-what… what is it?” he asked trying to sound cool but he can still hear his voice slightly shaking. He was never like this to someone he talked to before, only to this man.

The didn’t answer him instantly, instead, he look at his ankle first before opening his mouth to speak. “How is your ankle?” he asked.

Jeongin wet his lips using his tongue before answering. “Umm… yeah… I guess.” He even fake a laugh to hide his nervousness away, but he guess it didn’t work at all.

“Are you still trying to stay away from me?” the man asked while looking at him intently.

Jeongin suddenly became conscious under his stares that he needs avert his gaze from him. He can’t look at the man’s eyes directly without feeling uncomfortable. It was like, his eyes is sending something towards him, no, not directly at him but to Jeongin in this world. Not him.

“W-what are you talking about?” Jeongin asked, he can’t hide the quiver in his voice anymore.

The man blows a loud breath. “I knew it. You’re definitely avoiding me.”

Jeongin looks at him again before shaking his head. “N-no! I’m… I’m not avoiding you! Not at all.” He said, he’s even waving his free hand in front of the man.

For the first time since he saw him a minute ago, the man smirked while shaking his head. “Good to hear.”

Jeongin was startled when the man suddenly squats in front of him before examining his injured ankle. “You should have stayed home and rest so you will recover fast.” The man said before standing up.

Jeongin's eyes widened when the man suddenly put his face near his, then he put his hand on my head before showing a bright smile, this man right now is far from the man he saw earlier when that Lix guy is still with them. “You should recover fast. We still have to take care of Rose right?” the man asked and all Jeongin could do is nod his head even tho he don’t know what this man is talking about.

“Umm… y-yeah.” He even forced a smile.

“And since you’re not avoiding me like you claimed earlier, then you should think about what I told you yesterday at the rooftop. I’m actually feeling guilty about what happened that leads you into having this injury but since it already happened, all I could do now is to check you from time to time to know if you are getting better. And of course to know your answer. I can wait until you’re finally ready.” He said before messing his hair.

Jeongin was lost in his words but he still have a strength to open his mouth and answer him. “Y-yeah..."

The man nod his head before putting a proper distance between their body. “That’s good. I’ll get going now. My class is about to start. You better go now. Good luck!” the man smiled at him once again before walking away.

Jeongin clutch his chest where his heart is located before blowing a loud breath to calm himself down.

When his heart beat finally returned to normal, that’s the only time he walks towards Lix who’s patiently waiting for him. “Is your talk with Seungmin over?” he asked and that’s when he finally got the man’s name.

Seungmin… the name suits him well.

“Y-yeah. Let’s go! We should hurry up.” Jeongin said and Lix nod his head at him.

“Yeah! Let’s go.”

The both of them walk towards their first class and Jeongin’s head is still clouded with that Seungmin guy’s face. He looks so cold when he first laid his eyes at him but when it's only the two of them, he suddenly became a total different person. He became so talkative that Jeongin couldn't even cope up with what he was saying and just continue nodding his head at his words.

But there's something he noticed with that man. He may not show any emotions in his face, well not when he was talking at him earlier, maybe he's hiding his emotions in front of people most of the time… but why the hell can he feel that he’s hiding something painful inside?

He shrugged his shoulders. This is definitely none of his business at all. Any time right now, he might disappear in this world and finally wakes up from his dream, so he shouldn’t be involved at anyone here. Because this is not his life. Everything in here, is not meant for him.

Anyways.. listen to skz's bside track entitled 'sorry for liking you' written by Changbin, it's not the whole song yet, but just watch the trailer tho, it's worth it! I've never been heartbroken in my whole life cause I never got myself a boyfriend but after listening to this song I suddenly felt like I was gone through 5 break ups and 5 divorce.
