"Aziki, please. I'm coming over." Adrian said over the phone. It's been three days since he left and he's been calling me ever since. Talk about annoying.
"No. Adrian, I have to go."
"I'll explain everything! Even what happened in Romania."
"Now you want to tell me," I said in an annoyed voice.
I am contemplating though. He stole my memories, and I do want to know what happened.
"When I have time, you can come over." I said
"Really?"
"Yes. Bye." I said
"No wait! Have you eaten?"
I scowled.
"Adrian, just stop. Stop acting like you care?" I said in an annoyed tone.
"Don't give me that Aziki. Have you eaten?"
"Yes."
"When?"
"Yesterday... morning" I sighed out. " It's not your business anymore, Adrian."
"The heck it isn't! Aziki, I'm coming over right now! Have you slept?"
"You will do no such thing! And why does it matter?" I shouted
"Aziki, have you slept?" he asked, completely ignoring my outburst.
"No." I said annoyed.
"I'm coming now," he said, hanging up abruptly.
Ahhh! His audacity. I'm leaving right now! I doubt I'll have time for a confrontation since the pack's been under intense training for the last couple of days. I haven't had shut-eye since the last time with Adrian and that's considerably a long time if you incorporate the harsh training I've been enduring. Truthfully, I've been a bit bummed ever since I found Adrian has been lying to me. It's only because I trusted him. I never would expect him to lie and even worse, interfere with my mind. That's a line that no-one should ever have crossed.
I honestly don't know if I'll forgive him. And then he wants to come over? NO! He'll just wipe my memory again.
"Woolcock!" a loud voice thundered. A long sigh escaped me. Here comes my other problem.
"In my office," I say in a dejected voice. I really have no time for Xavier right now.
I hear his heavy footsteps echo through the house as he approaches me.
"Woah! You look like death!"
"Where have you been?" I said cutting any formalities.
He cleared his throat.
"A-away..." he stuttered.
"Xavier," I said in a stern voice. "Look at me. I'm not in the mood for your games. Let me ask again, where have you been?"
