First Day Combatchery

"Come on sis! You need to come out!"

Hitoshi Shinsou yelled through the door.

"I CHANGE MY MIND I CAN'T DO IT!" Luna cried through the door.

Eri tugged on her older brother's shirt.

"Big bro? Why won't big sissy come out?"

"Sorry Eri, didn't mean to wake you , she's just nervous for her first day of school."

Luna busted out of the bathroom and picked up her baby sister, with a wolf tailing at her heels.

"I'm so sorry baby unicorn, I didn't mean to wake you. You want to go back to bed?"

Eri rubbed her eyes and cuddled against Luna's shoulder. The wolf nudged the girl's toes with it's nose as a gesture of love.

"Yes please, thank you."

"Ok princess, come on Rouge let's go."

Luna carried her back to her bed and laid her down. Rouge laid her head on the cushion next to Eri as the girl pet the wolf gently on the head.

"Sissy? Can you sing please? And the sparkles?"

Eri requested looking at her with big tired eyes.

"Of course unicorn. What song?"

"Bedtime song please."

"Ok." Luna held up a plushie of a cat to Eri who immediately snuggled against it.

"The sky is dark and the hills are white as the storm king speeds from the north to night, and this is the song the storm king sings, as over the world his cloak he flings, sleep, sleep little one sleep, he rustles his wings and gruffly sings, sleep, sleep little one sleep...", she waved her hand around a bit and little sparks of light began to fly like shooting stars.

And just like that little Eri was out like a light. Luna put her hand down and kissed her baby sister on the head and followed Shinsou out the door with Rouge following behind her.

"So..." Shinsou started as they walked towards the school. " Ready for your first day in 1-A."

Luna stopped in her tracks causing her follower to halt as well. Her hands started trembling as she looked at her feet.

"Hey...come on sis, it'll be ok, I'll be there, and our dads , AND the squad." Shinsou said, putting an arm around her as Rouge nudged her owner in the leg.

Luna shook her head and continued walking, "your right, it'll be ok, I mean the worst that can happen is...I'll get kicked out and dad will disown me, and papa will hate me and they'll send me back to that horrible foster home and..."

"Hey, no you know they wouldn't do that. No matter how many times I messed up, or Eri they never have, we are their kids, they love us unconditionally, you know that." Shinsou said as they approached the horizon of the school.

"Right, so I'll show you the dorms after class, your stuff should already be there-"

"TOSHI!!!" A blonde blur with a hint of black appeared and koala tackled the purple haired insomniac.

"Hahahaha, I think you woke him up, Denks." Luna laughed as the purple haired boy looked like he had been shocked.

"Hey Luna! Ready for your first day!" Denki Kaminari said with a big enthusiastic smile, and his trademark black lightning bolt in his hair, that never failed to make Shinsou beam.

"Hey Pika." Shinsou said greeting his boyfriend with a kiss on the head and Rouge greeted the boy with a light bark, meriting a wave from the boy.

Denki Kaminari was one of the few people Luna had already met from UA, seeing as he was Hitoshi's boyfriend and a regular visitor to their home. The other two acquaintances were Mina Ashido, and Eijirou Kirishima. As far as she remembered Kirishima had appeared one day at their door asking for advice to ask out his now girlfriend Mina. She remembered it being one of the first weeks she had begun staying with her new family and the outgoing, friendly personality of the boy scaring her a bit. However after many Netflix movie nights of the two couples and her with Eri, she had grown more comfortable with them. At least comfortable enough to not panic and talk in sign language.
